New Update: Madras University Admission 2021 - Madras University grants Madras University Admission 2021 to the eligible and meritorious candidates in its different PG, M.Phil, PG Diploma, Diploma, and Certificate courses. Selection of the candidates is based on the entrance exam and qualifying exam or qualifying exam alone, differing from course to course. The Madras University Admission 2021 form will tentatively release in the month of April 2021. Those who meet the eligibility criteria can fill and submit their application as per the given schedule. It offers admission to postgraduate, research as well as Diploma & Certificate courses in the field of Arts, Science, Commerce, and Management. The Madras university also offers UG courses through Distance Education. The Madras University comprises 18 Schools along with 68 departments of postgraduate teaching and research. At present, the university consists of 109 affiliated colleges along with five approved Institutions (Diploma/Certificate Courses), 16 Stand-alone Institutions for MBA/MCA courses, and 52 approved Research Institutions. Madras University Admission 2021

Madras University, Tamil Nadu's premium university, offers undergraduate, postgraduate, research and diploma, PG Diploma & Certificate courses in the fields of Arts, Science, Commerce, and Management. The Madras University will be release other courses on UG and PG Programmes. The application form will be available in both online and offline mode.

Online Application

The application process for Madras University Admission 2021 will release in online mode. Those who want to apply need to register through the official website. The complete process of application is explained in the points given below.

  • To start the process of application form submission, candidates have to register on the official website of the university.
  • In order to register, aspirants need to provide some of their basic details like name, date of birth, email address, phone number, etc.
  • After registration, candidates will receive login credentials on their phone number and email ID.
  • Next, the candidates have login using the credentials generated after the registration.
  • Then, in the main application form, aspirants have to provide their educational, personal, and contact details.
  • Aspirants must ensure that they enter all the details accurately. Otherwise, the application form can get rejected.
  • Apart from the details, aspirants also need to upload the scanned images of their photograph and signature.

Madras University for M.Tech, MA, M.Sc, M.Com, M.Ed, ML, Master In Journalism & M.Lib.I.Sc Admission-2020

Madras University offers M.Tech, MA, M.Sc, M.Com, M.Ed, ML, Master in Journalism, and M.Lib.I.Sc courses in various specializations at the postgraduate level. Students who have a Bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline are the minimum eligibility for admission. Admission offered based on marks in the qualifying examination and score in the entrance tests conducted by the university.

  • The admission of NRI & international students will be granted based on their performance in the qualifying exam. The university provides full fee concession to physically challenged students, including examination fees. Aspirants have to produce a valid certificate concerning their disability percentage.
  • There is a provision of 40% relaxation in tuition fees for students belonging to SAARC countries. However, Sri Lankan Tamil students and Tibetan refugees have to pay the tuition and other course fees as decided for Indian students.
  • Under LM, the candidate will give a maximum of 5 years to complete the course from the date of enrolment in the course. 
  • If the Students have not applied for ML in the first year, then they can re-register themselves only in the following academic year by paying an amount of INR 2000 or as prescribed. 

Details about Madras University MBA And MCA- Admission 2020

Madras University also offers MBA, EMBA, and MCA (Regular+ Lateral Entry) at the postgraduate level. Any Bachelor's degree from a recognized university is the desired eligibility for Admission. For Admission granted based on marks in TANCET performed by DTE Tamil Nadu.

  • Students for Admission to Madras University have to apply for TANCET. After the declaration of TANCET result, students have to apply in the university with their valid TANCET score to secure Admission in MBA & MCA courses.
  • Fee waiver scheme: Full tuition fee concession will offer to the selected student based on his merit in the qualifying exam & financial status. This facility will give to the one whose parental income is less than INR 1,00,000 annually.

Madras University M.Phil & PhD. Admission- 2020

  • Madras University also offers M.Phil and PhD programs in full-time as well as part-time modes in several disciplines. A master's degree from a recognized university is the minimum eligibility for admission. The university conducts separate written Tests and interviews to offer admission in these courses. Students who have cleared UGC/CSIR NET exempted from appearing in the entrance exam.
  • The admission process for PhD performed in December, March, June, and September. Students can apply for the PhD course in any of the four sessions (January, April, July, and October) in a year. The application form can also be filled offline by paying an application fee of INR 500. For the M.Phil course, the application form can be collected from the campuses or downloaded online from the official site of Madras University for INR 300.

Madras University offers Diploma courses in various Disciplines at PG and UG level. Graduates, Class 12, and Class 10 passed candidates can apply for these courses. Admission is entirely merit-based.

  • Applicants have to specify the name of the program along with a Demand Draft of the amount INR 250 (which includes INR 200 for the form and INR 50 for the postage)drawn in favour of The Registrar, University of Madras, Chennai – 600005.

  • Students can download the application form from the official site. 
  • Fill all the required details in the Particular application form.
