LPU NEST Updates

New Update: LPU NEST 2020 Notification released on its official website. LPU Nest Registration Schedule II Extended up to May 3rd, 2020, for Engineering and Management Courses. Candidates can visit the official site @ lpu.in. Candidates can go through this article to know the Updates of the LPU NEST 2020.

What is LPU-NEST?

LPU-NEST stands for Lovely Professional University National Eligibility and Scholarship Test. LPU-NEST is a university level exam that is conducted for the students who seek to enter into courses in the field of hotel management, law, agriculture, B.Tech, Designing and MBA. LPU-NEST is conducted only once in a year. Students will have to apply for the exam on time and also book the slots on the given dates. Once it is applied and the booking of slots is completed, the admit cards for the students are published. One can download the admit card from the official page of LPU-NEST. Minimum cut off marks is to be scored to be qualified in LPU-NEST. Only qualified students can appear for the LPU-NEST counselling and should also have their admit cards even at the time of counselling. What are the Important Dates of LPU-NEST 2019?

LPU-NEST exams are conducted only once in a year. So students should not miss out the opportunity of appearing for the exams. Students should always be aware of the important dates and apply for the exam on time. The following table shows the important dates related to LPU-NEST 2019.

Who are Eligible for LPU-NEST 2019?

Like for all the exams, LPU-NEST also had framed their rules regarding the eligibility criteria of students. Only the ones who satisfy the eligibility conditions will be able to appear for LPU-NEST 2019. The eligibility conditions varies for different courses. Below given are the eligibility criteria for different courses.

For LPU-NEST B.Tech

Indian candidates can apply for LPU-NEST B.Tech course.
Candidates who have qualified 12th exams in Central Board of Secondary Examination or Council for Indian School Certificate Examination or State Board or institutions recognised by CBSE New Delhi.
Students should have scored at least a minimum of 60 percent aggregate in 12th class subjects physics, mathematics and chemistry. Also they should qualified LPU-NEST B.Tech or JEE Main exams.
If the students had scored above 90 percent in 12th class, then LPU-NEST B.Tech and JEE Main exams are exempted. They will be eligible for direct admission.
Physics, chemistry, english and biology or mathematics or biotechnology is required for the courses in Biotechnology, food technology, biomedical engineering and integrated biotechnology.
Students should have studied physics, chemistry, mathematics and english for courses namely chemical engineering and petroleum.

For LPU-NEST Law

Students of any stream are eligible if they have an aggregate of 50 percent in the course and also should have valid score in LPU-NEST Law/ LSAT.
Students who had scored 70 percent and above will be exempted from taking up these tests. They are eligible for direct admission.
SC/ ST students will be provided with extra 5 percent relaxation.

For LPU-NEST Agriculture

Indian candidates can apply for LPU-NEST Agriculture.
Candidates who have qualified 12th exams in Central Board of Secondary Examination or Council for Indian School Certificate Examination or State Board or institutions recognised by CBSE New Delhi or other apex bodies.
Students should have scored at least a minimum of 60 percent aggregate in 12th class subjects physics, chemistry and mathematics or biology or forestry. Also they should qualified LPU-NEST exams.
But students who score 80 percent in 12th class can apply for direct admission.

For LPU-NEST Design

Indian candidates can apply for LPU-NEST Design.
Candidates who have qualified 12th exams in Central Board of Secondary Examination or Council for Indian School Certificate Examination or State Board or institutions recognised by CBSE New Delhi or other apex bodies.
Students should have scored at least a minimum of 50 percent aggregate in 12th class subjects including english. Also they should be qualified in LPU-NEST exams.
For students who have scored above 70 percent can directly proceed towards admission process.

For LPU-NEST Hotel Management

Indian students can apply for LPU-NEST Hotel Management.
Candidates who have qualified 12th exams in Central Board of Secondary Examination or Council for Indian School Certificate Examination or State Board or institutions recognised by CBSE New Delhi or other apex bodies.
Students should have scored at least a minimum of 50 percent aggregate in 12th class subjects including english. Also they should be qualified in LPU-NEST exams.
For students who have scored above 70 percent can directly proceed for admission.

For LPU-NEST MBA

Only Indian students are eligible.
Students should have completed bachelors or should be in the final semester and should have scored at least 50 percent aggregate. Students should have secured good marks in LPU-NEST (MBA) or CAT or XAT (upto 80 percentile) or MAT/CMAT (upto 85 percentile) or GMAT.

How to Apply for LPU-NEST 2019?

LPU-NEST application forms are available on the given dates on both online and offline mode. The application fee is Rs.500 for boys and Rs.250 for girls for all the categories. One can easily apply for LPU-NEST 2019 exams through the online mode. There are few steps involved in applying for LPU-NEST which are provided below.

Registration

The primary step of applying for LPU-NEST is the registration by providing email id, name, date of birth and mobile number. Once entered, the registration ID will be generated and sent to the provided email id.

Filling of LPU-NEST application form

Once registration is completed, students can login using their id and password to fill in the application form. Personal, communication and academic details are to be entered in the LPU-NEST application form. Students should provide the accurate details and recheck the details before submitting LPU-NEST application form.

Uploading of scanned details and documents

Students will have to attach a scanned copy of their signature and photograph along with the application form. Aadhar card and educational certificates pertaining to the qualifying exam are to be attached in the prescribed formats.

Payment of application fees

Students will have to make the payment of LPU-NEST application through online mode namely netbanking or by using a debit or credit card.

Submission of application form

Once all the details are filled, students should double check the details and submit the LPU-NEST application form. Once submitted, the filled in application form will be displayed on the screen which should be taken a print out for any further usage.

What is LPU-NEST Admit Card?

LPU-NEST admit card is a mandatory document that every candidate should bring to the LPU-NEST exams. One who does not have the LPU-NEST admit card will not be allowed to appear for the examination. Once the application is submitted, students should book their slots on the given dates. Only when the slots are booked, the students will obtain their admit cards of LPU-NEST 2019. Students will not obtain their admit card if they have failed to book the slots. Slots are provided based on a first come first serve basis. LPU-NEST admit card contains the details of the candidate namely name, course, venue, exam date, exam time and exam guidelines. Students should take a print out of the admit card and keep it safe until all the admission procedure is completed. Follow the below given steps to download LPU-NEST admit card.

The primary step is booking the slots as per your choice after the registration.
Once the slot is booked, admit card is published immediately.
Students should check all the details provided in the LPU-NEST admit card.
If there is any discrepancy, then one should inform the authorities immediately.
Then the candidate should download the LPU-NEST admit card and take a print out of it.

Information on LPU-NEST Results

LPU-NEST results 2019 will be published individually for each phase on different dates as scheduled by the Lovely Professional University. Students can check their results through online in the official page. The phase I LPU-NEST results was published on February 10th, 2019. LPU-NEST results of 2019 phase II was announced on 4th May 2019. To check LPU-NEST results, students will have to follow the below steps.

Login using user ID and password.
Results will be displayed on the screen.
Students can download and take a print out of the same.
Also LPU-NEST results will be automatically sent to the students’ registered email address.

Information on LPU-NEST Counselling

Only the LPU-NEST qualified students can participate in LPU-NEST counselling. LPU-NEST counselling dates will be announced by the authority and students should apply for the same on the given dates. Students will be called for counselling based on their ranks in LPU-NEST exams. LPU-NEST counselling will be conducted in three rounds. Mostly every year LPU-NEST counselling is about to be conducted in the month of July. Students will be allotted seats in the university based on the ranks, their preference and availability of the course. Once seats are allotted after LPU-NEST counselling, students should make the initial payment of Rs. 10000 to confirm the seats. Students should download the allotment letter and be present in the college on the dates as informed by the authority. What is LPU-NEST Syllabus?

LPU-NEST syllabus provides an idea of the different topics that are covered in the different subjects of LPU-NEST exams. It varies for different courses. The syllabus and the exam pattern will benefit the students in time management and studying through planning. Information on LPU-NEST Exam Pattern

LPU-NEST exam pattern helps the candidates to be aware of the marking scheme followed in the exams and also provides an idea of how many questions in each subject. This helps the candidates to plan and prepare well for the exams. LPU-NEST exam pattern varies for different courses. The exam pattern for different courses are provided below.
