JoSAA Counselling 2021 - Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSSA) will be starting the JoSAA Counselling 2021 registration from the 2nd week of June 2021 on josaa.nic.in, in online mode, and the Registration and choice filling for JoSAA 2021 Counselling will be available. JoSAA Counselling 2021 for admissions to engineering undergraduate courses based on JEE Main 2021 and JEE Advanced 2021 result. New Update: JoSAA Counselling 2021 - JoSAA Counselling 2021 will take place once the JEE Main and JEE Advanced results are out. JoSAA is the governing body that conducts joint JoSAA Counselling 2021 for admission to IIITs, NITs, IITs, and GFTIs. JEE Main qualified candidates participated in the Counselling procedure for seat allotment conducted by JoSAA to the below-mentioned engineering institutions. The JoSAA counselling 2021 involves various steps. The registration will be starting from the 2nd week of June 2021. There will be 7 rounds of Counselling in JoSAA 2021 where eligible candidates will be allotted seats according to their merit and preferences of the choices filled.

JoSAA Counselling 2020 - CSAB Counselling Started

JoSAA Counselling 2020 - Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) has started the registrations for the special rounds of counselling for NITs, IIITs and GFTIs from November 17. Candidates will be able to register for the same till November 19 (11:59 pm). CSAB counselling will be conducted for the seats left after the JoSAA 2020 counselling.

JoSAA Counselling 2020 - 6th Seat Allotment Result Released

JoSAA Counselling 2020 - Joint Seat Allocation Authority, Round 6 JoSAA Counselling 2020 Results released on November 7, 2020, at josaa.nic.in. And the JoSAA Round 3 Seat Allotment result 2020 was announced on October 30, 2020. Students, if satisfied with the allotment, need to confirm the seat allotted under Round 5 by 5 pm on November 5, 2020. Notification of the decision on seat confirmation for Round 5 would be released at 8 pm on November 6. Students can opt for seat withdrawal, or exit option by midnight on November 6, 2020. An additional counselling round for NIT+ System would be conducted from November 9 to November 13. Joint Seat Allocation Authority conducts the JoSAA 2020 Counselling, and the Seat Allocation Process has started from October 6, 2020. The registration and choice filling for academic programs under JOSAA ended on October 15, 2020. The mock allotment is based on the choices filled by the students until October 11. The students can make changes in their choices based on the allotment on or before October 15. The second round of mock allotment will be released on October 14, and the registration process for the JOSAA counselling will end on October 15 (5.00 pm). What are the steps to check the JoSAA Counselling 2020?

The process is given below to check the JoSAA 2020 Counselling, and candidates follow the Instructions to get it easily.

To check the opening and closing ranks of previous seat allotment, candidates need to go to the official website josaa.nic.in
On the home page scroll down to Opening and Closing Ranks and click on this
From the drop-down, select the Round No., Institute Type, Institute Name and the Course or Academic Program the candidate wishes to check
The opening and closing ranks would be available on the screen
Candidates can accordingly keep checking for the other institutes and courses to find the opening and closing rank for the previous allotment results.

Counselling 2021 - FAQ

1. How are seats allocated under JoSAA?

Based on the candidates’ JEE Main 2020 ranks for NIT+ institutes, choices filled by them and availability of seats, JoSAA decides upon allocation of seats. For IITs, JEE Advanced 2020 ranks, choices filled by the candidates and availability of seats will be taken into consideration for seats allocation.

2. Will there be any spot round of allotment?

No, the authorities will not conduct any spot round of seat allotment. However, after all the 7 rounds of seat allocation will be held, there will be a special round for NITs + institutes only. This will have new choice filling where all the candidates (including those who are already admitted, non-admitted and those who did not fill choices earlier) will be allowed to fill their choices.

3. Will candidates be required to report again, if they wish to upgrade?

Yes, it is mandatory for candidates to report if the upgradation is from an NIT+ Institute to IIT or vice-versa. If the upgradation is within the same system, they will not have to report again.

4. What will happen if there are multiple candidates with the same rank seeking admission to the same academic program?

All the candidates will be given equal preference, in such a case. If required, supernumerary seats will be created.
