Bachelor’s degree in any discipline under 10+2+3 academic pattern.

Applicants will be tested for their analytical abilities and awareness of national and international economic issues of importance at present and in the recent past. Candidates are expected to be familiar with the content of a standard Economics course taught at the B.A. level. Especially for the benefit of applicants without an undergraduate degree in Economics, an enumeration of the areas to be covered is given below:

(a) (i) Micro-economics (Demand Curves, Price and Income Elasticity of Demand, Cost Curves, Equilibrium of Firm under Perfect Competition and Monopoly) (ii) Macroeconomics (National Income Theory of Income Determination, Monetary Policy, Trade and Balance of Payments)

The entrance exam for MA in JNU will comprise two parts: Part A will have multiple-choice questions, and Part B will have short and long problems/questions. Marks obtained in Part A will be used for shortlisting candidates for whom answers for Part B will be evaluated. The final selection will be based on total marks obtained in Part A and Part B.

The applicants for the M.A. programme will be examined in the light of their knowledge on themes and issues studied in a standard social science bachelor programme. The purpose of the entrance exam is to test the candidates’ general awareness of issues related to development and labour studies, their capacity to comprehend and reflect on academic articles, and their ability in analytical reasoning on the contemporary issues of the informal sector. The admission test will carry 100 marks, and students will be tested in the broad thematic areas of major social science disciplines: Political Economy, Theories and Contemporary History of Development, Development Economics, Indian Economy, Society and Politics in India, Sociological and Political Theories. The purpose of the test is to select candidates who demonstrate an aptitude for analytical skills and original thinking.

JNU PG Admission 2022

Candidates of all Master’s degree programs of study, except M.A. programs in foreign languages (School of Language, Literature and Culture Studies), are invited for the viva voce examination.

To be eligible to be invited for the viva voce examination, a candidate must secure the following marks out of 70 in the written examination for post-graduate courses (only where viva voce is prescribed):

  • General Category: 25% (17.50 marks out of 70)
  • OBC: 22.50% (15.75 marks out of 70)
  • SC/ST/PH: 15% (10.50 marks out of 70)

The final selection of candidates for admission to the post-graduate programs of study is made based on inter-se merit of candidates in their respective categories, based on their performance

  1. in the written examination,
  2. in the viva voce (wherever prescribed), and
  3. after incorporating the Deprivation Points, wherever applicable.

Candidate must secure the following minimum overall score in the entrance examination for admission to the postgraduate programs of study:

  • General Category: 30%
  • OBC: 27%
  • SC/ST/PH: 25%

How to download JNU Admit Card 2022?

The process is given below to download the JNU Admit card 2022; candidates must check and download the Admit card in Advance.

  • Visit the official website nta.ac.in/jnu

  • Click on JNU 2022 admit card tab.

  • Now enter your application number and select your date of birth.

  • Click on the submit button.

  • Your admit card will be in front of you.

JNU Answer Key 2022

The JNUEE answer key will be released by NTA in the second week of June 2022. Candidates must enter their login credentials in the answer key login window to search for the JNUEE answer key 2022. If there is an inconsistency in the JNU 2022 answer key, candidates may file an appeal. Candidates must pay a processing fee of Rs 1000 for each objection to the JNU entrance exam answer key. The JNU answer key for 2022 will be available on the JNU NTA's official website. The JNU response key will provide students with an estimation of their potential grades based on their choices in the computer-based exam. In the third week of June, the final JNU answer key 2022 will be published.

JNU Result 2022

NTA will release the JNU 2022 results in an online format. Candidates must enter their login information, including the application number, the programme, and the school of their choice, to verify the JNU result 2022. The scorecard will be used to reveal the results of JNU 2022. The JNU outcome includes information such as the candidates' grades, their application number, registration number, and the path they wish to pursue.

JNU Merit List 2022

After the results are announced, the university will release the JNU 2022 merit list. Candidates must enter their login credentials in the login window to search the JNU merit list 2022. The name of the applicant, the name of the programme, and the candidate's rank are all listed on the JNU 2022 merit list. Candidates whose names appear on the JNU 2022 merit list will be invited to participate in the document verification round. The JMU merit list for 2022 will be considered the final admissions list, with no changes allowed.

JNU Cut Off 2022

The university will announce around four JNU 2022 cut-offs for admission to UG, PG, and Integrated programmes. The JNU 2022 cut off includes information such as the candidate's points, rating, programme name, sectional cut off, and programme code. The JNU cut off for 2022, and the results will be announced in the fourth week of June. The JNUEE 2022 cutoff will be determined by various factors, including the exam's difficulty level, the number of applicants, the previous year's cutoff patterns, and the number of seats available. Candidates taking the entrance exam should review the previous year's JNU cut off marks to determine the minimum score needed to pass the exam.
