JEE Main 2019 Results are released by the National Testing Agency in the official websites on 29th April 2019. It has been decided earlier to release the results on 30th April, but now the results are published one day before. Students can easily check their results through online mode. To check the results, students need their JEE Main application number and date of birth. The students who had scored 100 percentile in the paper one of April session is also released. Scores of the January and April sessions are compiled and the overall merit list is published. The results are published after normalization of marks. What is the JEE Main Marking Scheme?

Candidates can compare their answers with the official JEE Main answer key. The students are given 4 marks for every correct answer. One mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. The marks scored by the candidate is the difference between the positive and negative marks.

Total positive marks = Number of correct answers x 4

Total negative marks = Number of wrong answers x 1

Total marks scored by the candidate = Total positive marks - Total negative marks

How is JEE Main Ranks Calculated?

The respective authority decided the ranks of the candidates based on the scores obtained by them. When two or more students score the same marks, the ranks are decided based on the following hierarchy.

  • NTA score of Mathematics marks is given first priority.
  • If the tie still persists, then NTA score of Physics is considered.
  • NTA score of Chemistry is considered.
  • If still there is a tie of marks, the candidates who is older is given preference.
