How is JEE Advanced Result 2019 Calculated?

JEE Advanced Result 2019 is considered when candidates attend both the papers namely Paper 1 and Paper 2. Students are expected to score at least the minimum required marks to be scored in order to appear in the qualified name list. All the subjects namely Physics, mathematics and chemistry are questioned in both the papers. The physics marks will be the total from both paper 1  as well as paper 2. In the same way, maths marks and chemistry marks will be the total from both the papers respectively. Aggregate score in JEE Advanced Result 2019 will be the total of aggregate marks in physics plus aggregate marks in chemistry plus aggregate marks in maths. This is how the JEE Advanced Result 2019 is calculated.

How are JEE Advanced Rank List Prepared? 

According to the marks scored in JEE Advanced Result 2019, the authority prepares the rank list for the students. Students who have scored high will be given the rank 1 and the rank list are prepared category wise as well as the common rank list. When two or more students score the same marks in a subject, the ranks are provided by considering the marks scored in rest of the subjects. Ranks are considered by following the below given points.

  • When it comes to rank, mathematics marks will be given high priority. 
  • One who scores high in mathematics will be considered high rank.
  • If students had scored same marks in maths, then their physics marks are considered.
  • If there is again a tie between the students, then both the students are given the same rank.
