Introduction to JEE Advanced
JEE Advanced 2019 is for the students who wish to get educated in prestigious institutions like IIT. Students with high scores in JEE Main examinations are eligible to attempt JEE Advanced 2019. JEE Advanced 2019 is conducted by Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. JEE Advanced 2019 has two papers which is conducted in two sessions. Students should mandatorily attend both the papers. Both the papers that are attempted by the students are considered for preparation of rank list. To attend the JEE Advanced exams, one has to register for JEE Advanced exam and download their admit cards on the given dates. JEE Advanced 2019 is a computer based examination for which the registration is usually done in the month of May. Every year around 14 lakhs students appear for JEE Main and from which around 1.5 lakhs students attempt JEE Advanced exams. JEE Advanced counselling and seat allotment are done through JoSAA. What is the Eligibility Criteria of JEE Advanced 2019?
Candidates should satisfy certain eligibility criteria as framed by the authority of JEE Advanced in order to successfully apply for the exams. One who does not satisfy the criteria will get their applications rejected and will not be allowed to appear for the examination. The eligibility criteria of JEE Advanced 2019 are given below.
- Candidates should have born on 1st October 1994 or after to appear for JEE Advanced 2019 exams.
- In case of SC or ST category, age relaxation of five years is provided.
- One can attend JEE Advanced 2019 exams two times in two consecutive years.
- Applicants should have completed 12th class or any equivalent exam.
- Students who has already registered or admitted in IIT should not appear in JEE Advanced 2019.
- Candidates should have qualified with the cut off marks in JEE Main exam.
How to Apply for JEE Advanced 2019?
JEE Advanced 2019 application form will be issued by the IIT Roorkee through online mode mostly in the first week of May 2019. Students should carefully fill in the application form and submit it within second week of May 2019. Application submission should be done before the due dates as provided by the authority. Though a very short duration is been provided for submitting the application form, the count of students appearing for the JEE Advanced is increased year by year. - Using JEE Main roll number and password, candidates should log into the official site to apply for JEE Advanced 2019.
- All the required information are to be submitted.
- Upload the required documents after scanning.

- Students will have to download the payment confirmation immediately after payment.

JEE Main Cut Off 2019 is published in the month of February 2019 by the assigned authority NTA and JoSAA. JoSAA is the central authority that is responsible for JEE Advanced Counselling and seat allotment. Students who has qualified in the JEE Advanced exams are eligible to register for JEE Advanced Counselling 2019. To register for JEE Advanced Counselling 2019, students need their registration number and password. Also one has to submit certain necessary documents. JEE Advanced Counselling will be done through seven rounds of counselling and followed by seat allotment. For participating in JEE Advanced Counselling, students should complete the registration on the given dates. Mostly JEE Advanced Counselling registration is done in the second week of June.
