New Update on 22.03.2023: IIT JAM 2023 - The IIT JAM 2023 Mock Exam has been made available. The admit card will be released on January 10, 2023. The exam will be held on February 12, 2023. A national-level exam called IIT JAM (Indian Institute of Technology Joint Admission Test) is held to grant admission to M.Sc. programmes. IIT Guwahati is hosting IIT JAM in 2023. Candidates who meet the requirements are admitted to the M.Sc. (2 year), M.Sc.-Ph.D. Joint Degree, M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree, and other Post-Bachelor's Degree & Integrated Ph.D. courses. How to Check IIT JAM Result 2022
Step 1: Visit the official website jam.iisc.ac.in. You will be redirected to the JOAPS portal.
Step 2: A new IIT JAM 2023 login page will open up on your screen.
Step 3: Now enter credentials - enrollment ID/email ID and password
IIT IIT JAM 2023 - Eligibility

Nationality: Aspirants should be Indian/foreign citizens.

Qualification: Students must have done Bachelor's degree from any recognized board or university.

Qualifying marks: Applicants must have obtained a minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying exam. For SC/ST/PWD Students, 50% marks must get.
-
Age Criteria: There will be no age to apply for this IIT JAM exam.
-
Appearing: Applicants who are appearing in the last year of their degree can also apply to submit the proof of passing certificate to the qualifying exam during document verification.
IIT JAM 2023 Application Form

Candidates can fill IIT JAM Application Form 2022 online.

Students have to register by entering their name, email, mobile number, and password.
-
The JAM application process will include – Online registration, filling details, uploading of images, application fee payment, and application form printing.
-
Aspirants have to upload signature, photograph, and documents like category certificates during the registration.
-
After successful registration, students, user id, and password will send to the applicant's email address.
-
The IIT Kanpur will also provide the application correction facility after the last date of the application form. The enrollment id will also send to the mobile number provided by the candidate.

Aspirants can appear for either one or two test papers and can check their application status after applying.

Mode of Payment: The JAM application fee can pay through online mode via debit card, credit card, net banking, etc.
In case of fees, the amount debited from your account, but JOAPS does not acknowledge any fee payment, then the cost will be credited back to your account.

IIT JAM 2023 Pattern
- Mode of Exam: The exam will conduct in online.
- Time Duration: The time duration for the JAM exam will be three hours.
- Total Questions: There will be a total of 60 questions asked in the JAM exam.
- Type of Questions: Questions will be in multiple-choice and numerical answer type.
- Language of paper: It will ask in the English language only.
- Total Papers: 7 papers will organize for the exam.
- Total Marks: The JAM question paper will be of 100 marks.
- Negative Marking: In the JAM exam, negative marking will be only for section I.

What is the Syllabus for IIT JAM 2023?
The IIT JAM syllabus based on Students studied topics of graduation level.
Syllabus for Geology:
This section will contain questions from the topics, i.e., geomorphology, the planet earth, structural geology, palaeontology, stratigraphy, petrology, economic geology, applied geology, and mineralogy, etc.
Syllabus of Mathematics Statics:
This section will include differential calculus, integral calculus, matrix, sequence and series, probability, random variables, joint distributions, sampling distributions, estimation, limit theorem, testing of hypothesis, etc.
Syllabus of Chemistry:
This section will include on mathematical concepts, the theory of gases, solid-state, chemical thermodynamics, electrochemistry, spectroscopy, adsorption, organic reaction mechanism, the basic idea of organic chemistry, natural products chemistry, aromatic and heterocyclic chemistry periodic table, main group elements, chemical bonding and shapes, bioinorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, etc.
Syllabus for Biotechnology:
The questions will ask from General biology, biochemistry, and physiology, basic biotechnology, etc.
Syllabus of Mathematics:
This part will include the topics function and one variable, integral calculation, differential calculus, vector calculus, linear algebra, real analysis, group theory and sequence and series, and actual number tec.
Syllabus of Physics:
This part based on the topics that are oscillation waves and optics, mechanics and general properties of matter, mathematical methods, kinetic theory, thermodynamics, modern physics, electricity and mechanism, solid-state physics, devices, and electronics, and modern physics, etc.
IIT JAM Admit Card 2022
- IIT JAM Admit Card has been made available to the candidates after submitting the application form. The authority will not send the JAM to admit card to the students by post.
- Candidates must check the complete information on the admit card like exam date and time, exam centre, name, address, etc. Aspirants will not be allowed to enter the exam hall showing the admit card. To download the admit card, students have to enter their login credentials.
IIT JAM Answer Key 2022
Candidates will access the answer key in online mode. Through the answer key, students can calculate their marks obtained in the exam. Candidates can also submit challenges against the answer key with the proof. After the provisional answer key, the final answer key will release by the authority.
Details about IIT JAM Result 2022?
- Applicants can check their IIT JAM Result from the website online. For each paper, an all India merit list will be prepared based on the All India Rank.
- The IIT JAM merit list based on seat availability appeared candidates for IIT JAM, including reservation policy for various categories. Applicants can check their results in the form of the scorecard. The JAM result will represent the merit and rank secured by the students in the exam.
IIT JAM Cut Off 20222
Candidates will shortlist based on IIT JAM Cut Off. Cut off will be the minimum marks necessary in each subject for the admission procedure. Through the cut-off, candidates will be invited based on their preference, of course. Participating institutes will give Entry to the candidates based on cut off marks. All the IITs and IISc will announce the separate merit list for providing access to the campus.
IIT JAM Counselling 2022
- The shortlisted applicants will be able to attend the IIT JAM Counseling. Qualified candidates will have to fill the admission form of IIT JAM 2023 to participate in the counselling. The first admission list will be available on 1st June 2022. The admission form will be available in online mode through the website.
- The admission fee for the candidates will be Rs. 600/- Through the admission form, candidates can choose the courses in preference, percentage, category, qualification, etc.

Exams 2023 - FAQ
IIT JAM is a national level exam that is conducted to shortlist students for admission to MSc and integrated MSc courses offered by colleges accepting IIT JAM scores for admission. IIT JAM is jointly conducted by the IITs and Indian Institute of Science (IISC). IIT JAM is conducted on a rotational basis by colleges participating in the exam. IIT JAM 2022 is being conducted by IISc Bangalore.
IIT JAM score at which admission is offered in different courses varies from one IIT to the other. Candidates can go through IIT JAM cutoff to get a better idea of the score at which they can secure admission in a course through this science entrance exam.
In JAM 2023, there are seven test papers. The subjects for which IIT JAM 2023 will be conducted are Mathematical Statistics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Geology, Physics, Economics and Biotechnology.
There is no restriction on the number of times an aspirant can take IIT JAM exam. Candidates can give JAM exam only if they fulfill the eligibility criteria of the science entrance test.
Candidates can add as many number of preferences as possible based on your qualified JAM Test Paper(s).
