New Update on 20.01.2023: IISER Counselling 2023 - The IISER 2023 counselling will be done online by Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research. The preliminary admission offers for SCB, JEE, and KVPY channels for round 8 will be made public by the authorities. Candidates who pass the IISER Aptitude Test are qualified to take part in the IISER Counseling procedure. Candidates should be aware that the IISER counselling for KVPY, SCB, and JEE Advanced candidates will take place separately. The official website will make the IISER cutoff 2023 public.

How to Participate in IISER 2023 Counselling Process

Step 1- Filling the application form- First, candidates will have to fill and submit the online application form on or before the deadline. Note that there are separate application forms for each channel of IISER 2023 admission. So, fill in the respective forms.

Step 2- Choice filling - While filling the application form, candidates must fill in their courses and institutes' choices in order of their preferences. Candidates must fill in their choices carefully as the seats will be allotted based on the choices filled by them.

Step 3- Reporting for document verification - Next, candidates will have to report at the allotted centres with their documents for verification process. Candidates must carry all the relevant documents with them. On failing to do so will lead to disqualification of candidature.

Step 4- Seat Allotment - Based on the choices filled by the candidates, merit list, and availability of seats in the institutes, authorities will allot seats to the qualified candidates. After seat allotment, candidates will have the option of freeze and float.

Step 5- Fee Payment - All the candidates who are allotted a seat will be required to pay a seat acceptance fee of Rs. 25000, for general and OBC candidates. For other category candidates, the seat acceptance fee will be Rs. 12,500.

Documents needed during the IISER 2023 Counselling

Candidates who are allotted seats have to report to the allotted institute as per the schedule. The list of documents which students need to carry are given below

• Admit card of JEE Advanced/ KVPY/SCB

• Class 10th passing certificate and marksheet

• Class 12th passing certificate and marksheet

• Original and photocopy of the counselling letter

• Scorecard of JEE Advanced, KVPY, and IISER

• Recent passport size coloured photograph

• Category certificate (if applicable)
