IIPS Admission 2021 - Started

New Update: IIPS Admission 2021 - IPS has released the notification for admission for the various programme such as M.A, M.Sc., M.Phil courses, etc..The application form is available from February 08, 2021, and the last date to fill the form till March 18, 2021. Eligible candidates can fill the form before the last date at the official website.IIPS Mumbai invites applications for PG and PhD admission for the academic year 2021-22. Registrations are open for MA, M.Sc, MBD, MPS and PhD through Common Online Entrance Exam and Post-Doctoral Fellowship Program till March 18, 2021.  MPS is a one-year postgraduate program, classes for which will begin from July 1, 2021. To know more information about IIPS Admission 2021 read the complete article.

What are the details about IIPS Admission & Eligibility 2020?

Master of Arts/Science in Population Studies

  • Candidates have a Bachelor’s degree with 55% in social sciences, including subjects Mathematics and Statistics from a recognized university.
  • Master of Science in Bio-Statistics and Demography.:
  • Students Graduation with 55% from a recognized university or equivalent grades. Students must have studied Mathematics or Statistics as core subjects.

Master of Population Studies

  • Students have a master’s degree with at least 55% of marks from a recognized university. Otherwise, Students have an equivalent grade in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Geography,& Anthropology.

Master of Philosophy in Population Studies

  • Candidates have a Master in Population Studies/M.A./M.Sc. in Demography/ M.Sc. in Bio-statistics & Epidemiology from a recognized university with at least 55%.
  • Integrated M.Phil/Ph.D. in Population Studies /Biostatistics & Demography (The admission committee shall decide the number of seats for UGC/CSIR-JRF or any other national-level fellowship awardees).
  • For IIPS Admission to Integrated M.Phil. And Ph.D. program is open to aspirants holding a Master’s degree in Population Studies, Demography, Biostatistics and Demography from a recognized university. And abroad with a minimum of 55%.
  • The admission committee shall decide the doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Population Studies/ Biostatistics & Demography (Two Seats with Government of India Fellowship) (Number of seats for UGC/CSIR-JRF).
  • Candidates have a P.G. degree in any social science subject/Health/Maths/. Otherwise allied subjects from recognized Indian/Foreign universities with at least 55% aggregate marks.

M.A. Population Studies (Distance Mode of Education

Offline admission procedure

  • For IIPS Entry to this course is open to all those with a Bachelor’s degree in any social science subject/Health Sciences/Mathematics/ Statistics recognized by Indian/Foreign universities.

Post-Doctoral Fellowship (P.D.F.)

Offline admission procedure

  • Aspirants having Ph.D. degree in Population Studies or subjects related to Population, Health, Gender, and Development are eligible to apply. Desirable: Publications in peer-reviewed journals, the publication of books, and research reports.

What are the procedures to apply for IIPS 2020?

  • Visit the official site to fill the application form 2020 IIPS at (iipsindia.org)
  • Click on the link New user and the aspirants will now be necessary to enter the information such as Email ID, Mobile number, Security question, secret Answer, Password, Confirm password.
  • The registration confirmation will appear with your application number. Students login again to complete the IIPS application form.

What are the details to be filled in Application Form 2020?

Personal Details 

  • They will be required to enter the details such as name, father name, etc.

Academic Details 

  • Aspirants should check where all the details are to enter.

Documents Upload

  • Students must upload Passport Size Photograph (3.5 cm width x 4.5 cm height) without sunglasses in jpg/jpeg format only (The Upload image must be greater than 4 kb and less than 40 kb in size).
  • Aspirants should upload their scanned copy of signature with 3.5 cm length x 1.5 cm height (The Upload image must be greater than 1 kb and less than 30 kb in size).
  • Applicants must also upload a photo ID proof (Anyone: Aadhaar, Voter ID, PAN card), or any government-issued photo ID proof.

 Work Experience 

  • Students possess any relevant experience, then they must mention it in the space required.

Test Centre Preference 

  • Applicants will be required to give a choice where they want to look for the exam. The IIPS reserves the right to allot anyone the center in case there are no seats available at any center.

Fee Payment 

  • Students should check the details of the amount that they have to pay towards the completion of the application fees.

IIPS Application Fees -2020

  • General – Rs. 1000
  • OBC – Rs. 500
  • SC/ST/PWD – Rs. 250.

What are the Selection criteria for IIPS Admission 2020?

For the Master of Philosophy in Population Studies,

  • The selection will depend based on an online test for this course, and afterward, there will be a personal interview. 
  • The candidates who shortlisted in the online test will proceed to the next level that is Interview. The Institute will not pay any amount of money or bear any travel expense of the candidates called for the test/personal interview.

For Master of Population Studies 

  • The selection will depend based on an online test for this course, and afterward, there will be a personal interview. The candidates who shortlisted in the online written examination will proceed to the next level that is Interview. The Institute will not pay any amount of money or bear any travel expense of the candidates called for the test/personal interview.

Master of Science in Bio-Statistics and Demography

  • The selection process for this course will depend on the performance of the candidates in the made online test. There will be no interview.

For Master of Arts/Science in Population Studies (M.A./M.Sc.) 

  • The selection for this course will depend on the performance of the candidates in the made online test. There will be no interview.

For M.Phil 

  • The admission to M.Phil. The course is through a two-stage process. The online test will consist of objective type questions of multiple choices. Shortlisted candidates will call for a personal interview at IIPS. Final selection based on the weighted average of scores of Online tests and personal interviews.

For Integrated M.Phil. and Ph.D 

  • The admission to Integrated M.Phil. And Ph.D. Programme is through a three-stage process; online test, proposal writing, and Personal Interview. The online test will consist of objective type questions of multiple choices. Final selection based on the weighted average of scores of Online Test, proposal writing, and Personal Interview.

For Ph.D

  • The admission to M.Phil. The course is through a two-stage process. The online test will comprise of objective type questions of multiple choices. Shortlisted candidates will call for a personal interview at IIPS. Final selection based on the weighted average of scores of Online tests and personal interviews.
