New Update on 23.11.2022: GATE 2023 - The CBT for the GATE test 2023 will be held at IIT Kanpur on February 4, 5, 11, and 12. There will be 29 papers. The official GATE website, gate.iitk.ac.in 2023, has information about the 2023 GATE exam date. From November 8 to November 14, the GATE 2023 application form correction window will be open. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is the full name of the GATE exam. On July 27, the official GATE 2023 announcement was released by the Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Kanpur. Admit cards for the IIT Kanpur GATE 2023 examination will be given to those who submit their applications before the deadline. What is the Eligibility Criteria of GATE Exams?
All students who would prefer to appear for GATE exams should satisfy a certain set of eligibility conditions which is prescribed by the authority. The eligibility criteria of GATE 2022 are listed below.

Candidates must have a minimum qualification of 10+2+3 under the new requirements.

Previous applicants were only eligible to apply for one subject/paper. Candidates may select two subjects/papers from the prescribed type of combinations beginning this year.

There is no upper or lower age limit for taking the GATE Exam. Nepalese, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Singaporean, and Ethiopian students

There is no minimum or maximum age limit for appearing in the GATE Exam.

Foreign students from Nepal, Bangladesh, Shri Lanka, Singapore, Ethiopia and United Arab Emirates (UAE) along with Indian Students can also appear for GATE Entrance Exam.

Candidates passed/ appearing Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Arts/ Commerce or Post Graduation in relevant discipline are now also considered as eligible applicants

There is no minimum percentage required to appear for the Exam. Similarly, there is no prescribed attempt limit, candidates who matches all the eligibility criteria can apply for the same.

GATE Eligibility Criteria for International Students

Must have completed or be in the final or pre-final year of a bachelor's degree in engineering or technology, or;
-
Must have completed or be in the final year or pre-final year of a postgraduate degree in a related science discipline.
- Documents Required:
- If an applicant has already passed one of the above-mentioned qualifying exams (in 2021 or earlier), they must submit a new application.
- If a candidate has already passed (in 2021 or earlier) one of the qualifying examinations mentioned above, they have to submit the degree certificate/provisional certificate/course completion certificate issued by the institute.
- If the candidate is in the final year of any of the qualifying examinations mentioned above, then they have to upload a Certificate from the Head of the Department/Institute.
What is GATE Counselling?
GATE counselling is conducted by the authorities mostly in the month of April every year. It is conducted after the GATE results are published. Only qualified students can apply for GATE counselling. The GATE counselling is conducted for few rounds and seat is allotted for the students based on their GATE cut off marks. The higher the GATE cut off, the chances of getting admission in the preferred institution is high. Some of the documents that are necessary for GATE Counselling are listed.

Exams 2023 - FAQ
Yes. The authorities have introduced a lot of changes in GATE 2022 eligibility criteria. Now the candidates who are in the 3rdyear of their graduation can also apply for the exam. Along with that candidates can sit for a maximum of 2 exams. Check GATE Eligibility Criteria.
IIT Bombay will release the list of candidates withdefects in GATE 2023 application form at their official website. Candidates can check the list and correct or complete all the details mentioned by the authority.
Candidates can pay GATE application fee only through the online mode (debit card, credit card and net banking).
