New Update on 30-01-2023: GATE Eligibility Criteria 2023 - The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur prescribed the GATE 2022 eligibility criteria and mentioned it in its official brochure. The notification was released on its official website at gate.iitkgp.ac.in. Candidates must meet the GATE Eligibility Criteria 2023 in order to be eligible to take the national-level engineering postgraduate entrance test..Candidates are suggested to refer to the GATE eligibility criteria before filling the GATE 2022 forms. The admission criteria to get into M.Tech courses at different IITs will be decided separately.

Introduction to GATE Eligibility Criteria
GATE Eligibility Criteria is listed by Indian Institute of Technology Madras. One who satisfy the eligibility criteria provided by GATE will be able to appear for the GATE 2019. All the academic qualifications, nationality, age-related criteria is provided for the students to be qualified with in order to take the exams and obtain admissions further. Those who do not satisfy the provided GATE Eligibility Criteria will not be able to attend the exams and is also applicable only for GATE exams. What are the General GATE Eligibility Criteria?
Students who aspire to attend GATE exams should know its eligibility criteria before filling and submitting GATE application form. The general GATE Eligibility Criteria are listed below.

Also candidates who belong to the countries namely Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Singapore, Ethiopia, and United Arab Emirates will be able to appear for GATE Exams.

Candidates with no age limit can appear for the exam. There is no restriction on age.

Academic requirement

There is no minimum pass percentage required in the qualifying degree in order to appear for GATE exams of 2019.

Students should have completed a bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology or a Masters in the relevant subject.
- Final year students of the Masters degree can also apply for GATE 2019.

What are the Documents to be Uploaded?
All the documents that are necessary to prove GATE eligibility criteria are to be submitted by the candidates. The students according to above given eligibility criteria has to be submit the necessary certificates from the proper authorization. For candidates who are in the final year or the ones who had already completed will have to provide their provisional certificate or degree certificate or course completion certificate according to the necessity. Students having a backlogs will have to provide the final year certificates with the clearance of all backlogs. For all students belonging to SC or ST or PwD will have to produce the respective certificate from the authorised officials. Any differently abled or dyslexic candidates should provide necessary medical certificate in order to obtain the help of scribe.
