New Update on 07.02.2023: FMGE 2023 - The FMGE 2022 Admit Card was made available on January 13, 2023. Exam Schedules have been changed. It will now take place on January 20, 2023. The National Board of Examinations administers the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE), a national-level entrance examination (NBE). For candidates seeking temporary or permanent registration with the Medical Council of India or any State Medical Council of India, NBE conducts this examination twice a year. Duration of examination: The examination will be conducted within 2 hours and 30 Minutes.

Types of Questions: The questions will be asked in the Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

Attempt Limit: There is no attempt limit of the FMGE Entrance test.

Language: The questions will be asked in the English Language only.

Number of Questions: There will be 300 questions that will be asked in the entrance test.

Eligibility Criteria for FMGE 2023
Medical graduates must fulfil the FMGE 2023 eligibility criteria to register for the FMGE screening test. The points are given below list the eligibility criteria of FMGE 2023.

Aspiring candidates must be an Indian citizen or Overseas Citizen of India.

Foreign Medical Graduates must possess primary medical qualification confirmed by the Indian Embassy concerned.

Candidates have to mandatorily provide the documents/proofs in support of them having passed the final examination. The documents mentioned above must submit on or before November 31, 2019. In case of delay, the candidature of the candidate will cancel.

Those aspirants who have completed their undergraduate medical education from New Zealand, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, United States of America are not required to appear for the FMGE 2020 exam since they already recognized for enrolment as a medical practitioner in the country.

How to fill the Application form for FMGE 2023?
The application form for the FMGE 2023 December session has been made available online. A link for online registration is provided on this page. Candidates will be required to fill the application form for FMGE 2023. They can fill the FMGE 2023 application form by following the instructions listed below:
Step 1: Candidates have visited the official website through the link provided (www.natboard.edu.in) and register by giving in their necessary details.
Step 2: In the next level, candidates will get confirmation of their registration when they receive their login credentials on their registered mobile number and email id.
Step 3: Then, with the login credential received, candidates are required to log in and submit their details like educational qualification, personal information, etc.
Step 4: The next step is to pay the FMGE 2023 application fee. An amount of Rs 5500/- has to be paid by candidates through debit/credit card or net banking.
Step 5: Candidates will then redirected to the confirmation page. They are advised to verify the details mentioned and then take a printout for further reference.

Any other pieces of information entered or document uploaded can be updated till the above-mentioned last date. Applicants must choose the medical school/institute/university from the drop-down list. Also, the correct city should be selected to find the respective medical college or university. It also uploads the scanned copies of the MBBS degree certificate, provisional pass certificates duly attested by Embassy of India, eligibility certificate issued by the MCI, and valid Indian passport of Student.

The NBE authority notified that submitting incomplete applications, incorrect information, and uploading of illegible/unattested/unclear/false documents would not accept.

FMGE Qualifying Marks 2023
Only those candidates who achieve the necessary minimum score in FMGE 2023 will be considered eligible. Candidates for the June 2023 session must score at least 50% on the FMGE test, according to NBE. In the FMGE test, 50 percent of the marks are equal to 150 out of 300. Candidates who pass the FMGE 2023 will be eligible for provisional or permanent registration with the NMC or SMC.

FMGE 2023 Issuance of Pass Certificate
Candidates must obtain a registration certificate from the National Medical Council or a State Medical Council in order to practise medicine in India or pursue higher medical education. Only FMGE-qualified candidates are granted a provisional or permanent registration certificate, allowing them to continue their studies or practise medicine in the country. Candidates will receive an FMGE 2023 pass certificate after passing the FMGE medical screening examination. NBE will issue a notice for the issuance of FMGE 2023 June session pass certificates. Candidates must report to the specified venue according to the NBE's schedule in order to receive their FMGE pass certificate for the June 2023 session.

Exams 2023 - FAQ
Candidates can take FMGE three times. If a candidate is unable to clear the examinations they shall not be eligible to study/practice in India.
No, a candidate will have to take the test on a pre-assigned computer at a designated FMGE 2023 test centre. A candidate can choose the test centre while filling the application form of FMGE.
FMGE practice tests are mock tests released by NBE. These tests are released to help aspirants get accustomed with the exam pattern of FMGE.
To apply for FMGE 2023, candidates will have to pay a non-refundable registration fee of Rs 5,500 + 18% GST.
No, there is no age limit for the candidates appearing for FMGE 2023. However, the maximum number of attempts is limited to three.
