CTET Exam 2020: CTET 2020 (Central Teachers Eligibility Test), scheduled for July 5, 2020, is now postponed by CBSE, the exam would be held when the situation is conducive. Candidates can start applying for the CTET from January 24, 2020. The registration will conclude on February 24, 2020. Those who apply on time can pay the application fee up to February 27, 2020. Once the CTET registration fee is submitted, candidates will get a chance to make changes in their application form. Correction Window will remain open from March 17 to 24, 2020. Beyond this period, no request to make any changes will entertain. CBSE has not decided the exact date on which CTET Admit Card will release. Though the board states it will be in the third week of June. And after the exam, the result will be out within six weeks of the exam.

CTET Eligibility-2020

Candidates appearing in the exam should score at least 60 percent marks to qualify for the CTET. Successful Students get the certificate, which remains valid for 7 years. CTET is highly competitive, and less than 30 percent of the candidates are usually able to qualify it.

What are the Procedures to apply for CTET 2020?

  • Candidates have first to visit the official website of CTET(ctet.nic.in). Then they have to click on the link, which says, Apply Online.
  • Students filling the application form carefully and should submit it and get the application number/registration number, noted safely for future reference. Candidates should upload the latest, scanned images of their signature and photograph in jpg or jpeg format.
  • CTET Application fee for the general/OBC (NCL) category candidates appearing either for Paper I or II is Rs 1,000 if they are willing to appear in both the papers, then the amount to be paid as the application fee is Rs 1,200.
  • Aspirants who belong to the category of SC/ST/Differently Abled Person have to pay Rs 500 for Paper I or II, and if they appear in both the papers, then they have to pay the amount of Rs 600.
  • The payment of the application fee is made either through online mode, by net banking, debit or credit card, or by filling the e-challan in the name of Canara Bank/Syndicate Bank.

Paper, I was successfully conducted from 9:30 AM-12 Noon on December 8, 2019. The majority of the students shared that the difficulty level of paper-I was easy to moderate, but the exam was extremely lengthy.

What is the Eligibility for CTET 2019?

  1. Applicants should pass 10+2 with a minimum of 45 percentile aggregate marks to be qualified for appointment as a primary stage teacher.
  2. Aspirants should clear graduation with a minimum of 45 percentile aggregate marks or 10+2 with at least 50 percent aggregate marks to be eligible for appointment as an elementary stage teacher.
  3. Aspirants should complete the prescribed teacher training programs/ teacher education courses.

Step 1: CTET 2019 Registration

Aspirants visit the official website of the CTET (ctet.nic.in) and click on the link available for the application form. In the online form, candidates need to fill in the below-mentioned details:

Once all the details in the CTET application form 2019 is filled and submitted, an application/ registration number will generate on the screen. Students need to note down this number and use it for logging in to their registered accounts.

Step 2: CTET Authentication Form 2019

Candidates should log in to their registered accounts using their application number and password. After that, aspirants need to fill the CTET authentication form for 2019. Necessary details to be filled in the authentication form are state, identification type, name, date of birth, and gender.

Step 3: CTET Online Application Form 2019

Once the CTET authentication form filled, aspirants need to proceed towards filling the remaining information in the application form. Information that applicants need to issue in their CTET application form needs to be the same as them in their Class 10 Board exam.

Step 6: CTET Application Form Submission

After verifying all the details provided by candidates in the registration form, they need to click on the Submit button. Further, Candidates need to take a print of the CTET confirmation page. CTET 2019- Admit card

  • CTET admit card 2019 has released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on November 20, 2019. Candidates can download the CTET admit card by using their registration/ application number and date of birth/ password.
  • It may note that CTET admit card has issued only those candidates who have successfully submitted the CTET application form. It may also indicate that CBSE had released the download link for the admit card in the earlier part of the day on November 20, 2019. However, the admit card was not available in the login accounts of candidates, as some media websites were reporting.

CTET 2019- Syllabus

  • CTET syllabus 2019 has been released by the Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE) on the official website(ctet.nic.in). The CTET 2019 questions from the subjects from Child Development & Pedagogy, Language I (compulsory), Language II (Compulsory), Mathematics, Environmental Studies, Science, and Social Studies & Social Sciences.
  • Applicants need to appear for CTET 2019 to appoint as teachers from Class I to Class VIII. CTET exam comprises two papers - Paper-I and Paper-II. Aspirants need to look for CTET Paper-I if they want to appoint as teachers for Classes I to V. Paper-II of the exam needs to be given by candidates who plan to teach Classes VI to VIII.

CTET 2019-Cut off

  • CTET cutoff is the minimum qualifying mark that aspirants need to secure to qualify Central Teacher Eligibility Test. CTET cutoff 2019 has released in the form of qualifying marks. As per the cutoff, applicants who have secured 60% and above marks have been declared CTET qualified. However, SC/ST/OBC/differently-abled candidates have given concession in the qualifying cutoff.
  • Aspirants must secure the minimum qualifying score in the CTET exam; otherwise, they would not issue the CTET certificate. The CTET website informs, The Validity Period of the CTET qualifying certificate for an appointment is seven years from the date of publishing of CTET Result for all categories. There is no prohibition on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring a CTET Certificate.

What is the CTET 2019 Selection Process?

  1. CTET application form 2019: Aspirants need to fill their CTET 2019 application form in online mode on the official website of the exam. Candidates also need to pay the CTET application fee of Rs 700 (for one paper) and Rs 1,200 (for two papers(I &II).
  2. CTET 2019 admit card: Candidates can download CTET 2019 admit card from the official website of the exam. The admit card for the CTET exam contains relevant details related to the aspirant and exam. It also mentions the candidate's test center details as well as reporting time for the CTET exam.
  3. CTET 2019 exam: Aspirants need to report at their CTET exam center at least 90 minutes before the commencement of the exam. CTET is of two and a half hours duration. On the exam day, two papers conducted. Paper-I needs to be given by applicants who want to qualify for the teaching of classes I-V (primary wing). Paper-II is for applicants who wish to be eligible for the education of classes VI-VII (elementary wing).
  4. CTET result 2019: CBSE announces CTET result on the official website of the exam. Aspirants who qualify the exam get a CTET eligibility certificate. The validity of the CTET eligibility certificate is seven years from the date of declaration of result.
