New Update on 01-05-2021: CLAT 2021 - CLAT 2021 has been postponed for the time being by the NLU consortium. After reviewing the COVID-19 situation in the region, the CLAT exam date will be set in the first week of May. The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) will conduct CLAT 2021 on June 13 (postponed) , from 2 pm-4 pm. CLAT application form 2021 has been released at consortiumofnlus.ac.in; the last date to submit the application form is May 15, 2021. Candidates who meet CLAT 2021 eligibility criteria may apply before the last date. Upon successful registration, CLAT admits card will be issued which is mandatory for appearing in the test. CLAT 2021 - On January 1, the Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) released the CLAT form 2021 application at consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The last date for the completion of registration for CLAT 2021 is March 31. The date 13th for CLAT 2021 has been rescheduled to Sunday, the 13 June, 2021 from 2.00 PM to 4.00 PM. The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is administered for admission to the 22 participating NLUs offering 5-year integrated LLB and LLM courses. CLAT 2021 will be an offline, understanding-based paper designed to test the candidate's skills and abilities required to obtain a legal education.

Questions from English Language, Current Affairs, including Common Knowledge, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Techniques sections will be answered to CLAT UG 2021. There will be comprehension passages for both UG and PG articles, and 5-8 MCQ style questions from each passage will be asked. There will be 150 questions for CLAT 2021 UG in particular, while there will be 120 questions for CLAT LLM. The CLAT result 2021 will be released around in the last week of May. CLAT 2021 - NUSRL(National University of Study and Research in Law), Ranchi has held CLAT 2021 Offline based exam. The NLUs have a combined intake of around 2500 undergraduate and 720 postgraduate seats. Apart from the NLUs, 52 private universities and DBRANLU Sonipat, Haryana, also use CLAT marks for admission. The detailed exam announcement of CLAT 2020 will be published in the last week of December, while online CLAT application forms 2020 will be made available from January 1, 2020.

What are the new Changes Introduced in this year?

  • The number of questions reduced in UG Courses to 120-150 from 200.

How to Know the CLAT Application Form 2021 Details?

Candidates can check the application form details carefully and follow them to fill the CLAT online application form.

  • The CLAT application form will be available via online mode only.
  • CLAT Application form will be available
  • Applicants need to fill the valid details in the CLAT application form.
  • Aspirants will need their email id for the online registration.
  • Once the Students create the login id and password after that, they have to upload the scanned copies of required documents, signature, and passport-sized photographs.

What is the Eligibility for CLAT 2021?

CLAT Aspiring Candidates must know the Eligibility before applying the CLAT Application Form.

For UG Course:

  • For Ug Course, there will be no age limit for the UG program in CLAT 2020.
  • Candidate should qualify the class 12th/equivalent exam from a recognized board/University.
  • Candidates in the 45% marks belonging to unreserved/OBC/specially-abled person (SAP) and other categories and 40% marks in the Students belonging to SC/ST.
  • Aspirants who are appearing in the qualifying exam in March/April 2020 also Qualify for the CLAT 2020 online exam. They shall be required to issue the evidence of the passing of their qualifying examination at the time of CLAT admission, failing which they shall lose their right to be considered for admission.

For PG Course:

  • For PG Course, there is no age limit prescribed for appearing CLAT 2020.
  • Aspirants must have a minimum percentage of marks in the qualifying examination( LL.B or any other equivalent exam).
  • Candidate should 55% marks possessed belonging to unreserved categories/OBC and other categories. Candidate should 50% marks in the case of to scheduled caste/ scheduled tribe.
  • Students should be passed/appeared in the final semester or final year of the qualifying examination on the date of his/her admission.

How to Know the Exam Centers for CLAT 2021?

NUSRL, Ranchi will publish the list of exam centres of CLAT 2020, where the national-level exam will conduct. CLAT exam will perform at more than 60 test centres across the country. An applicant is generally allotted a CLAT test centre opted by him/her when filling out the CLAT application form unless there is an unforeseen event, in which case one will be allotted an alternate centre. Students can check the allotted test centre details, like name and address, on the CLAT admit card 2020.

  • In the comprehension section, the candidate will assess their understanding of the passage and its central theme, meaning the words used therein. The grammar part requires correction and incorrect grammatical sentences, filling blanks in sentences with appropriate words.

General knowledge and Current Affairs

  • This Section will evaluate general awareness, including static general knowledge. Questions on current affairs will test the students on their understanding of national and international current affairs.

Mathematics

  • This part will test the applicant's knowledge of elementary mathematics.

Legal Aptitude

How to Know the Cut Off for CLAT 2021?

CLAT cut off will be the minimum marks to be scored by applicants for securing admission into the law universities. The Cut off based on the rank scored by Students in the CLAT 2021 entrance examination. It will be an issue after the declaration of the result. CLAT Cut off will be based on multiple criteria: the difficulty level of exam and the total number of available seats. Only those candidates will invite for the counselling who will score the Cut off marks.

How to Know the Seat allotment process for CLAT 2021?

The CLAT authority will make the seat allotment of CLAT 2020 for the 21 participating NLUs in 3 rounds, for both UG and PG programs. CLAT 1st round Seat allotment will be declared sometime in the 2nd week of June. CLAT seat allotment result would include information like the state (or All India) rank of the Student, category, admit card number, and CLAT admission status. What is the Counselling Process for CLAT 2021?

Exams 2021 - FAQ

1. When will the CLAT 2021 application form be released?  

The application form of CLAT exam was available in online mode from January 1, 2021 onwards.

2. Who conducts the CLAT exam?  

The law entrance exam is conducted by the CLAT convenor along with other members of the Consortium of NLUs. This year, the examination will be conducted by Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU), Jabalpur.

3. When will the CLAT 2021 exam be held?  

As per the official announcement by the consortium of NLUs, the upcoming exam of CLAT will be held on September 28. The exam was earlier scheduled to be held on August 22 and then on September 7 as a centre-based, online computer-based test but got postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

4. How many candidates take CLAT exam every year?  

Around 50,000 candidates from different cities across India appear for the CLAT exam every year.

5. Will CLAT 2021 be conducted online or offline?  

According to CLAT Consortium, Bar Council of India, CLAT 2021 will be conducted offline or pen-paper mode.

6. How to retrieve password for CLAT 2021 Admit Card?  

There are chances that a candidate may forget his/her password at the time of downloading the CLAT 2021 admit card. Click on the 'Forgot Password' button at the bottom of the login window for CLAT Admit Card. It will redirect to a new page, where candidates will have to enter the registered mobile number . Click on the Request OTP button and OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number. Enter mobile number, OTP (received on the mobile) and the new password. Click on the Reset Password button. A new password will successfully be generated.
