CIEAT Exam Pattern 2020 

  • CIEAT 2020 will conduct in online mode (computer based) at all the centres.

  • Candidates will answer a total of 100 objective type questions in a duration of two hours.

  • All questions will carry one mark each and the paper will be valued for a maximum of 100 marks.

  • The questions will be categorized in four sections, namely, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.

  • Mathematics and Biology sections will have 50 questions. Physics and Chemistry sections had 25 questions.

  • Candidates aspiring for Biotechnology and related programmes have to choose Biology, instead of Mathematics.

  • Each question will be followed by four answers, of which, only one will be correct / most appropriate.

Applications of Matrices and Determinants

Adjoin, Inverse-Properties, Computation of inverses, solution of system of linear equations by matrix inversion method. Rank of a Matrix - Elementary transformation on a matrix, consistency of a system of linear equations, Cramer’s rule, Non-homogeneous equations, homogeneous linear system, rank method.

Vector Algebra

Scalar Product–Angle between two vectors, properties of scalar product, applications of dot products. Vector Product - Right handed and left handed systems, properties of vector product, applications of cross product. Product of three vectors - Scalar triple product, properties of scalar triple product, vector triple product, vector product of four vectors, scalar product of four vectors. Lines - Equation of a straight line passing through a given point and parallel to a given vector, passing through two given points (derivations are not required). Angle between two lines.
