CAT Exam will be held soon in two sessions as per the latest notification released by the IIMs. So, candidates are in a hurry to prepare for the exam. CAT exam will be conducted for 3 hours and there will be 3 sections. Once the exam date is scheduled, candidates will be looking for the link to download CAT Admit card. The officials announced that aspirants can download CAT Admit Card before the exam. It is mandatory to show the CAT Hall Ticket to the exam invigilator on the day of the exam. Candidates who are not submitting their CAT Admit Card 2019 are not allowed to enter into the exam hall. Hence, candidates are advised to download the admit card before the exam to avoid further risks. 

CAT Important Dates

Long wait for CAT Notification 2019 has come to an end. CAT Notification is released by the IIMs. But, the CAT Registration window will be open on 7th August 2019. Candidates have to wait till August to apply for CAT and the CAT registration link will be available till September 2019. CAT Exam Pattern and Syllabus 2019

Candidates have to prepare for the exam once the CAT exam is scheduled. CAT is a competitive exam so it needs hard preparation. CAT exam question paper consists of 3 sections such as VARC, DILR, and QA. There will be questions in both MCQs and non-MCQs type. How to download CAT Admit Card 2019?

IIMs will be releasing CAT admit card 2019 before the exam. Hence, candidates can download the admit card from the official website. Carrying CAT hall ticket to the exam centre is vital as it is the entry ticket to enter into the examination hall. The following section explains the step-by-step procedure for downloading CAT admit card,

  1. Visit the official website of CAT 
  2. Log in through your CAT login ID and Password
  3. Check for the link mentioning CAT 2019 admit card on the home page
  4. Click on that link and download the PDF file
  5. Take a printout of the admit card and keep a soft-copy for future use.

What are the details mentioned on the CAT Admit Card?

Candidates can get to know a few details such as exam centre name and address, date & slot of the exam, category, and so on through CAT Admit card. It is mandatory to carry a hall ticket to the exam centre. Candidates who don’t carry CAT admit card will not be allowed to enter into the examination hall.   • CAT Registration Number and User ID
  • Category - Whether the aspirant belongs to General category or Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe or Differently Abled

How to tackle the problems while downloading CAT Admit Card?

Candidates may face difficulties while downloading CAT admit card. The most common issue that one might face is forgetting their login credentials. Hence, it is must to save your CAT Id and password in a safe place. 

In case, if you forget your login credentials (ID and password), click on the “forgot password” tab. Later, you’ll receive a link to your registered email address. Click on that link to reset your password. Additionally, aspirants can contact the CAT Helpline Desk number (1800-266-0207 (Toll-Free)) or email at cathelpdesk@iimcat.ac.in regarding any doubts or queries. 

Please note that you can get assistance only from Monday to Saturday (9 am to 5:30 pm) and not on public/national holidays.

Here are few things that one should carry to the exam hall along with admit card,

  • Aadhaar Card
  • Voter ID Card
  • Passport
  • PAN Card
  • Driving License
  • Photo ID of you issued by current education institute or employer among others

Important Points to Keep in Mind:

Candidates who are going to attend the CAT exam should carry the above-mentioned documents along with them. This is because candidates are not allowed to enter into the examination hall without showing their CAT admit card. The below section lists out some important points to keep in mind,

  1. A hard copy of CAT admit card should be clear enough to read.
  2. Aspirants have to paste their passport size colour photograph in the space provided.
  3. On the other hand, candidates should sign in the space provided only in presence of the invigilator.
  4. Candidates have to carry 2 hard copies of CAT admit card to the exam hall. Out of which, one hard copy of the admit card has to be submitted to the invigilator at the time of the exam.
  5. Candidates are advised to check the exam and exam centre reporting timing properly on their admit card. Candidates should report at the exam centre on the mentioned time. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the test centre beyond 8.45 AM and 2.15 PM.
  6. For the first slot - Candidates have to report by 7.30 AM 
  7. For the second slot - the timing is 1 PM. 
  8. Candidates should carry only their CAT admit card and photo ID card. 
  9. Papers and pencils will be provided inside the exam hall for a rough calculation.
  10. CAT test takers should keep their CAT admit card till the entire admission process gets over.
