BLAT Exam 2021 - Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to the BA LLB course need to meet the eligibility criteria of BLAT 2021 as prescribed by the university. If the candidates do not fulfil the mentioned eligibility criteria, they cannot apply for the exam. Below given is the eligibility criteria for BLAT Exam 2021

  • One must have passed 10+2 or any equivalent exam from a recognized university.
  • General category candidates need to score 50% marks in aggregate, OBC candidates need 45% and SC/ST candidates need 40% marks.
  • If a candidate has passed 10+2 exam or obtained Graduation/Post-graduation from Open University system, then he/she is not eligible for admission.

BLAT Exam 2021 - Application Form

Banaras Hindu University (BHU), the exam conducting authority, will release the application form in online mode sometime in March. The BLAT Exam 2021 application form will be for admission to the 5-year integrated BA LLB programme. Candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria may fill in the application form. BLAT Exam 2021 - Admit card

The candidates can download the BLAT admit card online from the BHU official website by providing their login credentials. The admit card will contain all the important details of the candidate needed during the exam. The admit card is a mandatory document that has to carried to the exam hall. No candidate will be allowed to attend the exam without the admit card. The officials will issue the admit card 1 or 2 weeks prior to the exam date and the candidates can download it from the official website by using their login credentials.

BLAT Exam 2021 - Exam Centre

The exam conducting body will conduct the exam across almost all the states and UTs of the country. The candidates will have to choose a state and city to fill the application form, based on which the allotment of BLAT 2021 exam centres will be made. The details of the allotted BLAT exam centre 2021 will be specified in the admit card, including the exam centre's name, address and reporting time. The candidates can download the BLAT admit card online from the BHU official website by providing their login credentials.

BLAT Exam 2021 - Answer Key

The exam conducting authority will publish the provisional answer key of BLAT 2021 within a few days of the exam's conclusion. The BLAT 2021 answer key will include the answers to all the questions asked in the entrance exam. The candidate will be able to compare their answers with those given in the provisional keys to calculate probable scores. To calculate probable scores, candidates must refer to the official marking scheme as prescribed for the exam. 

BLAT Exam 2021 - Result

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) will declare BHU BA LLB result 2021 or BLAT result 2021 tentatively in May. BLAT 2021 result would be declared online through the university's official website for all candidates who have appeared in the entrance exam. The candidate has to click on the result link and log in to the university's official website entering the registered email id and password to check their results. The result would include details like the name, roll number, application number, sectional marks and total marks obtained in the exam, and rank. BLAT merit list 2021 will be prepared which will be used for counselling and seat allotment based on the marks obtained by the candidate

BLAT Exam 2021 - Counselling 

The candidate will be shortlisted for counselling based on the merit list. BLAT 2021 counselling process will be conducted in online mode, wherein the candidate will have to register for counselling, pay the counselling fee and participate in choice filling and locking. The allotment of BLAT 2021 seats will be made based on the candidate's merit rank, and choices entered for admission. Note that document verification will be an essential part of the counselling process, and such candidates who complete the process successfully will be called for admission.

Post allotment, candidates may be considered for up-gradation of seats in following rounds of counselling.

BLAT Exam 2021 - Cutoff

The admission officials will decide category-wise BLAT 2021 cutoff for admission to the 5-year integrated BA LLB law programme. Candidates who satisfy the BLAT cut off 2021 will be eligible for admission, while those securing marks (or rank) below the cutoff would be more or less out of the admission process. To determine the BLAT cutoff 2021, admission officials will analyse factors like the number of seats, category of the candidate, total applicants, etc.
