Introduction to BITSAT

BITSAT exams are conducted by BITS Pilani for the students to enter into integrated first degree programmes that are provided in the university. Students will be able to enter into courses namely B.E, B.Pharm and M.Sc. BITSAT exams are conducted through online mode. Students who qualify in BITSAT exams will be able to enter into either of the campus in Hyderabad, Goa or Pilani. Birla Institute of Technology and Science is the conducting body that completely takes over the regulation of BITSAT exams 2019. BITSAT exams are conducted once in a year and BITSAT 2019 is about to be conducted between May 16 and 26. Some of the highlights of BITSAT exams are listed in the below table.

What are the Important Dates related to BITSAT 2019?

BITSAT 2019 exams are about to be conducted in the month of May. Students should register for the exams on the given dates. Registration for BITSAT 2019 exams has already commenced from January 4th, 2019. The last date for application submission is March 20th 2019.  All the important dates scheduled for BITSAT exams of this year are listed in the below given table.

What is the Eligibility Criteria for BITSAT 2019?

Students who aspire to enter into B.E or B.Pharm or M.Sc courses in Birla Institute of Technology and Science should through BITSAT exam scores. BITSAT exams would be the entrance exams which fulfill the dreams of students to get admissions in this institute for their preferred courses. In order to apply for and attend BITSAT 2019 exams, students should satisfy some eligibility conditions. The eligibility criteria required for each course are provided in the below table.

How to Apply for BITSAT 2019?

To appear for BITSAT exams, students should register for the same on the announced dates. Students can easily register for BITSAT 2019 through online mode. The application forms for BITSAT are available from January 4th, 2019 and the last date to fill the application is 20th March, 2019. Students have to provide personal, academic and communication details in the application form. Also necessary documents are to be attached in the prescribed manner. Follow the below listed steps to easily complete the application process.

  • Students will require a valid email ID and mobile number for registration.
  • Once registered with the ID, students will have to fill BITSAT application form.
  • Personal, academic and communication details are to be filled in the application form. Ensure that true and correct information are provided in the application form.
  • Students will have to provide any three centre of examination in order of their preference.
  • Student’s photograph and signature are to be scanned and uploaded.
  • Once done, students should make the payment of the registration fees either online or offline.
  • Online payment is possible through net banking, credit card or debit card. In case of offline payment, students should download pay slip and make payment at the nearest ICICI bank.
  • The payment  details are to be entered in the BITSAT application form and submit to complete BITSAT application process.

What is the Application Fees for BITSAT 2019?

Students should pay certain amount as registration fees in order to appear for BITSAT 2019 exams. Students can either make the payment through online mode or offline mode according to their convenience. Online payment can be done using your credit card, debit card or net banking. If students need to do offline payment, visit any nearest ICICI bank with the pay slip that is downloaded and make the payment at the bank. The application fees for BITSAT 2019 are given below.

  • For male students of all categories - Rs.3150
  • For female students of all categories - Rs.2650

What is Prescribed Specifications for Documents Upload?

At the time of filling BITSAT 2019 application form, you will have to upload a few documents. Students should scan their signature and photograph in order to upload it along with BITSAT application form. Recent photograph of the candidate must be provided for this purpose. Information on BITSAT Result 2019

BITSAT results of 2019 will be announced once the exams get over. BITSAT results will be published online on the given dates. Students can check their results through online mode. The total number of correct answers and wrong answers are provided in the result. Score acquired by the candidates is also shown in the results. Once the results are available, the merit list is also prepared and published online by the respective authority. Different merit lists for different courses are published based on their scores in the exams being conducted. Students will be able to check the admission list through online on June 20, 2019.

What is BITSAT Cut Off 2019?

BITSAT Cut Off is the minimum marks that is required to qualify BITSAT exams. When a candidate score the minimum cut off marks or more will be eligible to participate in the admission process and if possible they will be able to get admission within the institute for the preferred course. BITSAT Cut Off will vary every year and is based on certain factors namely number of candidates appeared for BITSAT exams, the scores of the candidates, previous year cut off trends and number of seats available for the particular course. BITSAT cut off 2019 will be released after every round of seat allotment. Every Cut off list will consist of two parts namely a simple round specific cut off and a waitlist cut off.

What is BITSAT Counselling 2019?

Students who have scored the minimum BITSAT cut off will be eligible to register for BITSAT counselling. Candidates will have to register for the BITSAT counselling on the provided dates. Students should fill the application for counselling with their academic, personal and result details in order to participate in BITSAT counselling 2019. Students will have to furnish their choices of courses in the order of their preferences. Once the application is filled, students should make the counselling fees payment. The counselling is done in iteration rounds through which admission list and waiting list will be announced for after each round of counselling.
