AIMS Test for Management Admissions (ATMA) is a national level entrance exam conducted by the Association of Management Admissions (AIMS) for admissions in various MBA colleges across India. ATMA is conducted 5 times a year. This computer-based examination is conducted to test the candidate's logical thinking ability, verbal ability, and more. ATMA scores will be accepted by various 100 MBA colleges in India such as Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Delhi/NCR, and other cities. Important Dates of ATMA

ATMA 2019 January exam will be conducted in the month of January. Candidates who are interested to attend ATMA exam should apply on 25th November 2018. The important dates of ATMA are as follows, 

  • ATMA Registration date: ATMA Registration begins on 25th November 2018. Interested candidates can apply for ATMA January exam on the official website of ATMA.
  • ATMA Registration end date: ATMA Registration Ends on 2nd January 2019 till 11.59 PM. Candidates are advised to complete the ATMA registration before the last date.
  • Last date for fee payment: The last date to pay an Application fee is 3rd January 2019 till 5 PM. After the payment of an application fee, candidates are allowed to apply for an exam.
  • Last date to reprint ATMA application form: The last date to reprint ATMA application form is 13th January 2019 till 1.45 PM. 
  • Admit Card download date: Candidates can download ATMA admit card from January 5, 2019.

ATMA Exam Pattern 

ATMA exam pattern is prescribed by the Association of Management Schools. The AIMS test 2019 January session will be conducted online in the month of January. The ATMA result will be declared tentatively in the month of February. There is no change in the ATMA exam pattern. ATMA is conducted 5 times a year in different months. Candidates who have graduated from the recognised university are eligible to apply. The following section explains the ATMA exam pattern.

  • It is an objective type of exam
  • It is a computer-based test
  • There will be 180 questions from 3 sections
  • Those 3 sections are divided into 2 parts each. Hence, the total number of sections are 6
  • 30 questions will be asked from each section
  • The sectional timing for each section is 30 minutes
  • The total exam duration is 180 minutes
  • 1 mark will be awarded to each correct answer
  • 0.25 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer

Exam Pattern

AIMS conduct ATMA in two modes such as computer-based and paper-based mode. Unlike MAT, ATMA exam pattern remains the same for the month. Instead, it changes its format from one month to another. 

Exam Session

ATMA is a national-level entrance exam which will be held in the afternoon session. ATMA 2019 January exam will be held tentatively in the month of January from 2 PM to 5 PM. 

Question Type

The questions will be of objective type. There will be 4 options for each question. Candidates should mark only one option of each question. 0.25 mark will be deducted for questions marked with more than one option.

Total number of questions

There are 180 questions will be asked in the exam from sections like verbal, Quantitative skills, and analytical reasoning. Each section consists of 30 questions. 

Exam duration

Candidates will be given 180 minutes to complete the exam. 

Two parts

Each section is split into two parts. If you prepare for one section, you can answer two sections effectively. Each section will be allotted 30 minutes for answering the questions. Aspirants cannot move in between the other sections. 

Marking Scheme

Candidates will be given one mark for each correct answer. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. There is no negative marking for unanswered questions. 

Difficulty level of Exam

The exam difficulty level is easy to moderate.
