AIPVT 2021 - Application Released Soon

New Update 28-09-2021: AIPVT 2021 - AIPVT 2021 admission will be offered to B.V.Sc.and A.H courses under 15% All India Quota Seats. Candidates will get admission into these courses on the basis of NEET score. AIPVT examination has been replaced by the NEET from year 2017. It will be organised by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) (Except Jammu & Kashmir). VCI will use the merit list of NEET UG 2021 for seat allocation to Veterinary colleges programmes may apply for AIPVT 2021 counselling by completing the application form on or before the deadline. Admission to 525 Bachelors of Veterinary Sciences (B.V.Sc) and A.H. seats will be granted through AIPVT 2021 counselling, which will be offered by 43 government and four private veterinary colleges across India. In 2017, the AIPVT entrance examination was abolished, and veterinary college counselling is now conducted on the basis of merit in the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET).

Nationality

1. Candidates should be Indian Citizens

2. Those candidates who come under the category of Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) cardholder and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) will also be considered eligible for AIPVT online registration 2021. These candidates have to mention ‘general’ under the category column

3. Since the provisions of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984, have not been extended to the state of Jammu and Kashmir, thus, Candidates from this state cannot apply for admission to 15% of All India Quota seats. However, such candidates who do not hold the domicile of the state of Jammu and Kashmir have to submit an affidavit as prescribed by the authority.

Age:

1. Candidates must have completed 17 years of age on or before December 31, 2021.

2. The maximum age limit for aspirants is not more than 25 years old on or before December 1, 2021.

3. Relaxation of 5 years will be provided to candidates of Other Backward Class (OBC), Scheduled Caste (SC), and Scheduled Tribe (ST)

4. The general, SC/ST/OBC, and PH aspirants born between the following dates will be allowed for AIPVT 2021.

Physical Disability/Physically Handicapped:

1. Candidates seeking admission to B.V.Sc and A.H. courses through AIPVT 2021 under the PH category must be included in the 15% All India Quota list published by VCI.

2. Such candidates who are affected by the disabilities mentioned below will not be allowed admissions

3. Total body disability which includes more than 50% chest or spine disability

4. More than 50% disability of the lower limb

5. Candidates who are visually impaired

6. Candidates suffering from hearing disability

7. Candidates who have progressive diseases like myopathies etc.

8. Candidates suffering from disabilities that would otherwise interfere in their performance of being a veterinarian

What will be the Eligibility Criteria of AIPVT 2021?

• Candidates must read and understand the eligibility criteria, before registration for AIPVT 2021 / Veterinary Counselling. If any one is found ineligible, then the candidature is cancelled there and then.

• The candidate should be an Indian National. However, as per last year prospectus, the candidates from the state of Jammu and Kashmir are not permitted to apply.
• The maximum age of the candidate should not exceed 25 years.
• The minimum age of the candidate should be 17 years of age. There is a relaxation of 5 years for Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) or Other Backward Class (OBC) candidates.
• Candidate must have completed their qualification in the Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology and English (as a core course).
• The applicant must have qualified NEET 2021 with the minimum cut off.
• The PWD applicants with certain specifications are not permitted to apply for the course.
