    Indian Sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik wins gold medal in Moscow competition

    Internationally renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik from Odisha won the jury prize gold medal at the 10th Moscow Sand art Championship. The competition was held between 22nd and 28th April at Kolomenskoye, Moscow in Russia. The theme for the competition was "The world around us".  Pattnaik was the Indian representative in the competition, where twenty-five sculptors from different countries participated.

    Kerala hosts country s first ever transgender athletic meet

    Kerala has conducted the country’s first-ever transgender one-day athletic meet in Thiruvananthapuram. The event saw the participation of 132 participants belonging to 12 districts of the state. The event was jointly organised by Kerala sports council and Sexual Gender Minority Federation of Kerala.     IOC to build new oil terminal in Bihar to supply fuel to Nepal

    The Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has planned to build a new oil terminal at Motihari in Bihar to supply fuel to Nepal via the planned pipeline up to Amlekganj in Nepal. The 69-km Motihari-Amlekganj pipeline will be built at a cost of Rs.325 crore. In August 2015, India and Nepal signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for a product pipeline.
