    SBI (State Bank of India) has merged its operations five its four associate banks - State Bank of Hyderabad, State Bank of Travancore, State Bank of Patiala, State Bank of Mysore, and State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur.     Sunaina Singh new Vice Chancellor of Nalanda University

    President Pranab Mukherjee, in his capacity as the Visitor of Nalanda University (NU)-Rajgir, appointed Professor Sunaina Singh as the new Vice-Chancellor (V-C) of the University. Singh, who is currently serving in the same capacity at The English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad, has been appointed for a period of five years from the date on which she assumes charge of the office.
