Wipro declares Donald Trump as a potential 'threat to business' for Indian IT industry
10 June 2017 Current Affairs: Information Technology giant Wipro has become the first Indian business house to declare the President of the United State, Donald Trump as a potential 'threat to business', in its annual filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

Reason:- Trump’s protectionist policies including his decision to withdraw from multi-lateral trade deals like the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement have been of great concern for IT services firms like Wipro, Infosys, L&T, Cognizant etc.

Trump had brought in curbs to the H1-B professional visa, that is widely used by the Indian IT industry.
