Uttar Pradesh Government signs agreement with Asian Development Bank for strengthening of roads
28 June 2017 Current Affairs:

  • Uttar Pradesh Government signed an agreement with Asian Development Bank (ADB) for a loan of 1950 crore rupees for the strengthening of roads in the different district.

  • As per the agreement, ADB will provide the loan amount for Uttar Pradesh Main District Roads Development Project of 2782 crore rupees cost.

  • The project is scheduled to be completed by the year of 2024 and it will provide the loan for the period of 25 years on the interest rate of 2 percent.
