Union Cabinet approves MoU between India and BRICS countries to set up BRICS Agriculture Research Platform
03 August 2017 Current Affairs: The Union Cabinet approves Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa (BRICS) countries for the establishment of the BRICS Agriculture Research Platform (BRICS-ARP).

During the 7th BRICS Summit held in July 2015 at Ufa in Russia Prime Minister Narendra Modi established a BRICS Agriculture Research Centre a gift to the entire world. 

The Central Government will promote sustainable agricultural development and poverty alleviation through strategic cooperation.
The Union Cabinet approves Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa (BRICS) countries for the establishment of the BRICS Agriculture Research Platform (BRICS-ARP).
