TVS Racing appoints Shreya Sunder Iyer as team's first woman racer
27 April 2016 Current Affairs: TVS Racing has signed Shreya Sunder Iyer as it's first woman rider  for the upcoming two-wheeler Indian National Rally championship. Shreya will begin her career with K1000, which is the first round. There will be five more rounds after this.

KP Aravind, R Natraj and AW Tanveer will be Shreya's teammates and these three were the national champions in 2015. Shreya will break the stereotype as motorsport has always been considered a male-dominated sport.

Shreya, 24, began riding at the age of 17 and rode extensively across India including the isolated Suru valley in the Himalayas and also completed a rigorous Southern India biking expedition of 2,000 kilometers in just 6 days.
