TN becomes First state to win all BCCI senior trophies
31 March 2017 Current Affairs: Tamil Nadu has become the first state to win all BCCI senior trophies after winning the Deodhar Trophy at Vizag.

Tamil Nadu beat India 'B' by 42 runs to become the first state side to win the three-team one-day tournament.

Tamil Nadu state, which has won the Ranji Trophy in the year 1987-88, also won the Vijay Hazare Trophy in the year 2017, making the state five-time winners in the tournament.

Tamil Nadu has won the Irani Cup in the year of 1988-89 and the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in the year of 2007-

About Deodhar Trophy:- The Deodhar Trophy is a List A cricket competition in Indian domestic cricket. It is named after Prof. D. B. Deodhar (known as the Grand Old Man of Indian cricket) and is a 50-over knockout competition played on an annual basis among the 5 zonal teams - North Zone, South Zone, East Zone, West Zone and Central Zone.

Tamil Nadu is the current champion of the competition (2016-17). North Zone has won the tournament a record 13 times.
