Prime Minister Narendra Modi leaves for Bihar to conduct aerial survey of flood-affected regions
26 August 2017 Current Affairs: Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Purnea on a day-long visit to Bihar to take stock of the flood situation in the state. 

He is undertaking an aerial survey of the worst-affected bordering districts of Araria, Purnea, Katihar, and Kishanganj. 

Over one crore seventy lakhs people in 21 districts are affected by recent floods. 415 have, so far, lost their lives.
