Prasar Bharati signs MoU with IIT Kanpur for research collaboration

13 July 2019 Current Affairs:India’s largest public broadcasting agency, Prasar Bharati signed an MoU(Memorandum of Understanding) with IIT, Kanpur(Indian Institute of Technology) 
The purpose is for research collaboration in newly emerging technologies and broadcasting-related areas in New Delhi.
This will help in boosting research activities in the broadcasting field.
The areas of cooperation which includes Direct to mobile broadcasting, Convergence of 5G, Artificial Intelligence(AI), Incubation Centre and internship for students of IIT, Kanpur at Prasar Bharati .
The engagement with IIT, Kanpur on Research and Development and innovation are very important as it is the onus of the largest public broadcaster
The main aim is to develop and shape the future with emerging technologies. 
The MoU will be effective from today and remain in force for a period of five years. 
The institutes may extend the term in writing through mutual agreement.
