On April 4, 2022, International Firefighter's Day is Observed

On May 4th, International Firefighter's Day is commemorated to honor firefighting professionals who have died on duty.

• This day's primary goal is to honor and recognize professional firefighters worldwide. They protect the community and the environment by putting their life on the line for the most dangerous occupations.

• International Firefighters Day was established after a horrific incident in Linton, Australia. On December 2, 1998, a historic tragedy occurred, resulting in the deaths of five firefighters. As a result, on January 4, 1999, a proposal was passed to honor the firefighters who died on duty.
