NALCO to get Presidents award for excellent CSR

03 July 2019 Current Affairs:National Aluminium Company Limited selected for President’s award for utilization of Corporate Social Responsibility fund in social development.
The company started a scheme “Aliali Jhia” in 2015.
The main aim is to promote the education of Girls of BPL families.
Ministry of Corporate Affairs explained about the CMD of NALCO, Tapan Chand who initiated the scheme.
Their main aim is to adapt and promote the poor and talented girls for education. 

About Aliali Jhia Scheme
It is a new scheme on the line of BETI BACHAO BETI PADHAO" 
It is initiated from the year 2015. 
Under this scheme around 416  girls from BPL families of 66 villages of Angul, Damanjodi and Potangi area in Angul and Koraput districts have been adopted by Company. 
Girls are reading in 45 different schools. 
This scheme where the company is bearing all the expenditure for education and promotion of talent from 8th to 10th class. 
The employees of the company joined the scheme.
