Maharashtra Government to start work on Rs 1 lakh crore infra projects
19 September 2017 Current Affairs: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis plans to launch infrastructure projects entailing an investment of Rs 1 lakh crore this year.

The infrastructure projects worth Rs 5.96 lakh crore have been planned in Maharashtra earned the state honors from the NITI Aayog for being the leader in infrastructure creation.

The work order for the 21.8-km Mumbai Trans Harbour Link will be issued in the next 15-20 days.

It is biggest sea link between Sewri and Nhava Sheva. It will connect the island city of Mumbai to Navi Mumbai.
