ISRO to launch GSAT-17 Satellite
29 June 2017 Current Affairs:

  • The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) GSAT-17 communication Satellite onboard the Ariane-5 launch vehicle from the Guiana Space Center at French Guiana.

  • Its weight is about 3,477-kg and will be placed in the Geostationary orbit which has a mission life of 15 years.

  • It is the 21st Indian launch for the Arianespace.

  • Its upcoming GSAT- 11 which weigh more than 5,000 kg also be launched by Arianespace.
