Indian Sprinter Dutee Chand qualifies for 2016 Rio Olympics
25 June 2016 Current Affairs: Twenty-year old Dutee Chand has become the latest Indian athlete to qualify for the Rio Olympics on 25 June 2016.

Dutee beat the Olympic qualification mark of 11.32 seconds by clocking 11.30 seconds in the 100 meters race at the XVI International meet being held in G Kosanov Memorial, Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Dutee is the 99th Indian athlete to qualify for this year's Olympics being held in Rio de Janeiro.

Dutee Chand : Dutee Chand is an Indian professional sprinter. She is currently being supported by the Anglian Medal Hunt Company, a foundation that supports Indian athletes. She is the current national champion in women's 100 metres event.
