India witnesses record 1.04 crore domestic flyers in a month
19 November 2017 Current Affairs: Air traffic volume reached an all-time high of 1.04 crore passengers in October 2017, according to data released by the DGCA.

The number of flyers saw a year-on-year increase of over 20%, up from 86.7 lakh passengers in October 2016.

All major airlines except Air India logged a passenger load factor above 80%, which DGCA attributed to the festive season.

IndiGo flew the most number of passengers at 41.33 lakh and the second position was secured by Jet Airways with 15.88 lakh passengers.

Noteworthy that Air India managed to grab the third position with 13.66 lakh passengers, while SpiceJet was at the fourth spot with 13.64 lakh.
