India contributes additional $1 million to UN Partnership Fund
14 July 2017 Current Affairs: India has contributed an additional one million dollars to a United Nations Partnership Fund to support sustainable development projects across the developing world. 

The India-UN Development Partnership Fund was set up last month as a partnership between India and the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC).

The initial contribution of a million dollars when the fund was created and the amount were allocated for the implementation of a project benefiting seven Small Island Developing States in the South Pacific.
