Haryana Government set up sex ratio monitoring dashboard for Panipat

27 February 2017 Current Affairs: As part of the 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' programme, the Haryana government on 26 February 2017 established an online system for monitoring the sex-ratio. The online system that will be known as the sex ratio monitoring dashboard was established for Panipat.
The system will have the data on child sex-ratio, which will be collected from all villages by the Health and Women and Child Welfare Departments every month.
The dashboard developed in association with the National Informatics Centre (NIC) as a pilot project will help the state government to generate data on critical villages with towards twisted child-sex-ratio. This information/data will help the government to take needed steps towards managing the ratio in those villages.
The system will act as an effective tool by enhancing ground-level coordination between the Health and Women and Child Welfare Departments.
Besides, the Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar also decided to simplify the grievances redressal mechanism. He would also implement new schemes like to have permanent cattle markets on public-private partnership (PPP) mode.
