Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Limited hands over 2nd LCU Mark IV vessel to Indian Navy
22 July 2017 Current Affairs: The second of the eight Mark IV Landing Craft Utility (LCU) vessels was formally handed over to the Indian Navy at a ceremony in Kolkata.

It is built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Limited (GRSE), Kolkata.

The ship measuring 62.8 x 11 metres has an endurance of around 1,500 nautical miles at 12 knots and is fitted with 2 x CRN-91 indigenous 30mm Guns.

L52 has the honour of having successfully completed her Weapon & Sensortrials prior delivery to the Indian Navy.
