Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring System for an entire city

19 November 2018 Current Affairs:Indian cities are finding it difficult to monitor the air pollution for the entire city using a single monitoring system. Nowadays real-time monitoring of air quality has become absolutely necessary for the timely intervention to check pollution levels. Most Indian cities do not have more than one continuous monitoring system.
Experts say that a single Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring System would make a solution to this problem. But such a device cannot represent an accurate picture of air pollution for the entire city. And this, according to them, becomes a problem when emergency measures need to be taken.
