Classified US satellite launched from California
06 March 2017 Current Affairs: A rocket carrying a classified U.S. satellite for the National Reconnaissance Officeblasted off from California.

The Atlas 5 rocket lifted off with grade kerosene (RP-1) and liquid oxygen, the Atlas 5 rocket produced about 860,000 pounds of thrust and roared away into a clear sky over Vandenberg Air Force Base.

The satellite called NROL-79 is described only as a national security payload for the NRO that has been put on space. The Mission did not reveal much information about the satellite.
