Centre granted Rs.450 crore for backward districts of Telangana

Centre has released Rs.450 crore as special grant to Telangana government as it took up the developmental work in the former nine backward districts of the State. The fund has been granted upon the recommendations of the NITI Ayog.
The release comes after the representation submitted by Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking a release of the fourth instalment of funds for taking up developmental work in the backward districts. Now, it is expected from the State Government and the implementing agency that the projects achieve their scheduled milestones and envisaged outcomes.
