What are the Features and Benefits of Punjab National Bank Credit Cards?

  • Add On Credit Card: One can take up to 2 free supplementary credit cards for its family members like spouse, parents, children. However for children, the age has to be at least 18 years. This form is available in online portal.
  • Utility Bill Pay: One can pay all the utility like electricity bills, telephone bills  from the official website of the bank.
  • EMI facility: For any transaction made by the customer which are of higher amount and customer wishes to repay the same in monthly, the bank provides the EMI facility also. The minimum criteria is Rs 2500/- on a single transaction. EMI application form can be downloaded from the website or the customer can call at the helpline number as well or email. The repayment structure is mentioned below:
    For 6 months – Amount Rs 2500/- - EMI Amount Rs 439/- which includes finance charge
    For 6 months – Amount Rs 10000/- - EMI Amount Rs 1756/- which includes finance charge
    Processing fee is 2% of transaction amount and finance charge is 1.5% per month and prepayment charge is 3% on outstanding amount. This form is available online.
  • Balance Transfer facility: At a much lower interest rate, any card holder can transfer the outstanding balance of his other banks credit cards to PNB Global card. Anyone who is a resident of India and is a primary card holder can apply for the same. However, the card should not be over limit or delinquent. The repayment period is 6 months with finance charge is 0.99% and monthly installment of Rs 172 .50/- for every Rs 1000/- . The processing fee is 1% of Balance Transfer amount or Rs 199 whichever is higher.
  • Free Credit Period: Any PNB Bank credit card holder who has paid the entire outstanding of his credit card balance or on before the due date, is eligible for a minimum of 20 days and maximum of 50 days of credit period which means, there will be no interest that will be charged during this period.
  • Waiver of Fuel Surcharge: It provides an exclusive feature where the bank waive off the surcharge on fuel when a customer spends Rs.  400 and Rs. 3000 per transaction in any city in India and in any petrol pump.
  • Revolving Credit Facility: The customer can choose to pay the minimum amount due and the rest of the amount will be adjusted as outstanding which will be added in the next billing cycle.
  • Purchase of railway tickets: PNB credit card holders can purchase railway tickets with the credit card online as well.
  • Rewards Program: The card holder can earn one reward point for every Rs. 100 spent using his credit card. Additionally, the reward points can be converted into JPMiles also where 1 JP mile can be added for two reward points.  And hence in this way, you can save a lot and book airline ticket as well.
  • Concierge Services: These are services which are offered to particular card holders who are eligible to get special personalised services like travel booking assistance, reservations for restaurants, passport/ visa support, flower and gifts delivery, emergency medical help etc.

What is the Eligibility Criteria to avail a Punjab National Bank Credit Card?

PNB bank has set an eligibility criteria to its customers to avail a credit card. The applicant should meet the age criteria of the bank since it helps the bank to make an estimate of the earnings of the applicant and his/her repayment capacity. If the applicant has a regular source of income, it will be helpful for the bank to determine the maximum limit of the credit card to be alloted. To obtain a PNB credit card, the applicant must have a decent credit score and no default payments. To apply for a PNB credit card, the following conditions has to be fulfilled:-

  • The educational qualification requirement for the applicant is that he/she should have at least passed their 10th standard exams to get qualified for a PNB Global credit card.
  • Age criteria: The applicant should be at least 21 years old and not above 65 years of age, in order to be eligible for this credit card.
  • The add-on cardholder must at least be 18 years of age or more than 65 years of age.
  • In case of salaried applicants they must fulfill an income criteria of minimum Rs.1,00,000/- annually for being eligible for a PNB Global Classic credit card and a minimum of Rs. 2, 50, 000/- for being eligible for a PNB Global Gold credit card.
  • Applicants who are into business or are self-employed/ professionals must also fulfill an income criteria of at least Rs.1,00,000/- as annual income for being eligible for a PNB Global Classic credit card and a minimum of Rs. 2, 00, 000/- as annual income for being eligible for a PNB Global Gold credit card.
  • The applicant should be a resident of India or must reside within the city limits of the Bank’s branches.

What are the Documents Required to avail a Punjab National Bank Credit Card?

PNB bank requires certain documents from its customers who want to own a PNB credit card in order to make them enjoy all the benefits without any issues.   • Self attested PAN Card copy or Form 60 / 61.
  • Proof of Residence: The applicant must provide his/her address proof at the time of applying for a PNB Global Credit Card. He/she can submit any of the mentioned documents for this purpose - Telephone Bill, Bank Account Statement, Electricity Bill, Letter from a recognized public authority which is approved by the bank or Letter from bank-recognized employer.
  • The applicant must have an existing relationship with the Bank which has been prevalent for a minimum of 6 months period at least.
  • Identity Proof: The applicant should also submit a valid identity proof at the time of applying for the PNB Global credit card. It can be any of the mentioned documents - Passport, Voter’s Identity Card, PAN Card, Company ID Card, Driving License, Letter from a bank-approved recognized public authority or public servant that verifies the applicant’s identity and residence.
  • Proof of Income: The Salary Certificate, copy of Form 16, IT Returns, or Salary Certificate may be submitted by the applicant as a proof of income.
