What is the Eligibility Criteria to Avail an ICICI bank Credit Card?

#1.ICICI Bank Credit Card Payment  

Credit card bills are generated once in a month which has to be paid on time to avoid penalties. ICICI bank gives its customers multiple options to pay their credit card bills. It can be done through online as well as offline. Customers can choose their comfortable mode of payment according to their wish. The options are listed below

  1. Online Payment: If the customer wishes to pay his/her bills from ICICI bank savings/current account, they can do it directly from the net banking portal. Just click on the ‘Bill Pay’ option and enter the card details and make the payment. The amount will be credited within two days. If the customer wants to make payment through any other bank account, it can be done by availing the NEFT facility or on Bill Desk. Transaction code 52 and IFSC Code ICIC0000103 for ICICI bank can be used.

    From other bank accounts:

    Netbanking can be done by following the steps mentioned below:
    Step 1: You need to first choose the net banking through which you would like to make the payment for their ICICI Bank credit card.
    Step 2: A dropdown with the entire bank list is available for users.
    Step 3: The next step is to provide the required card details like card type, sixteen digit ICICI bank credit card number and the amount that has to be paid.
    Step 4: You will be directed to a secure payment interface of the selected bank.
    Step 5: Enter the authentication details like the net banking user ID and the password of the customer’s bank account to confirm the payment.
    Step 6: The concerned bank account will immediately get debited once the amount has been confirmed.
    After the payment transaction has been completed, the customer will receive an online confirmation along with a Transaction Reference Number.

  2. Auto-Debit: The customer can set standing instructions on his/her ICICI bank account to pay the minimum account due or the total amount due at the end of the month. Users can register for an auto debit facility by calling ICICI Bank customer care or by logging into internet banking.

  3. NEFT: When you have a bank account in another bank, you can use the NEFT transfer process to make payments for your credit cards. You can use the respective IFSC code and the transaction code while using this facility to make payment transactions. This process will take just one working day to get credited to the card account. In order to avoid late payment charges, customers have to make payments at least a day before the due date.

  4. Visa Money Transfer: Through the Visa Money Transfer feature, you can make payments for Visa credit cards. In 3 working days, the payment will be a credit to the card account.

  5. Debit cards: ICICI bank customers can make their outstanding credit card bill payments with ‘Click to Pay’ facility by using their debit cards.

    Payments using debit cards can be completed by following the instructions given below:
    Step 1: Select the type of debit card i.e., ICICI Bank Debit Card to initiate the payment process.
    Step 2: Provide credit card details like the 16 digit ICICI Bank credit card number and the outstanding amount.
    Step 3: Click ‘Pay Now’ and you will be directed to a secure card payment gateway.
    Step 4: Enter the required authentication to confirm the payment which is being done through your debit card.
    You will receive a Transaction Reference Number as part of the online confirmation process once the transaction has been completed successfully.

OFFLINE:

  1. Pay at ATM: The customers can also make payment by visiting the ICICI bank ATM and using the debit card to make a payment toward the credit card. The payment will be credited instantly.

  2. Call to Pay: The customer can also call ICICI bank’s 24-hour customer helpline to make a payment towards their credit card. Just follow the IVR instructions and the pay the bill. The amount will be credited instantly.

  3. Cash Payment: Payment can also be made by submitting cash at any branch of ICICI bank. Cash payment entails a fee of Rs. 100 per transaction.

       4. Pay by Cheque/Draft: Cardholders can also draw a cheque/draft favoring their ICICI bank credit card and drop it at the nearest branch of ICICI bank. Payment through ICICI bank cheques will be credited within 3 working days and non-ICICI cheques will be credited within 5 working days.

ICICI Bank Rewards: This is the basic rewards programme. Under this, users can earn rewards almost everywhere whether it is dining out, groceries, online shopping or travel. How to Register for ICICI bank credit card login account (Netbanking):

For existing customers: If you already have an active ICICI bank net banking account for your savings account, you can simply link your credit card to the existing account instead of registering for a new one. Follow the procedure to link your ICICI bank savings account and ICICI bank Credit Card.

  • Visit ICICI internet banking page
  • Log in to your account using your User ID and password
  • From the top menu, select ‘My Accounts > Credit Cards’
  • Select ‘Click here to link your credit card account to your Internet Banking User ID' option.
  • Now enter the details such as the credit card number, date of card expiry, mobile number, email address as well as your ICICI bank savings account number.
  • Once all the details are filled, check the terms and conditions box before you click ‘Submit’
  • After this, a confirmation page will appear and an OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number associated with your credit card and bank account.
  • Now, enter the OTP to authorize the transaction.
  • Acknowledging your application request, a confirmation message will be displayed on the screen.
  • A service request number will also be mentioned on screen. Please note the number, which can be used to track the application status or in the event of any delay

For Existing ICICI Bank Customers without ICICI credit card login account: If you are an existing ICICI bank customer but don’t have a net banking account, you have to register for the account first and then link your credit card to it. You can register for ICICI net banking by online or even by visiting the nearest branch office or through phone banking.

For new ICICI Bank Credit Card customers: If you have received an ICICI credit card but don’t have any other relationship with the bank, you can register for ICICI credit card netbanking service by generating a User ID and password for your online credit card account. The process to generate the credentials is given below

  • Contact the ICICI credit card customer care between 7.00 am and 9.00 pm from your registered mobile number.
  • Follow the instructions as directed on the call
  • You will be asked to enter your 16 digit credit card number and 4 digit PIN number, key in the numbers
  • The IVRS will tell you your credit card balance, after which you need to select the respective option for ‘Self banking’
  • Select the option to know the User ID
  • You can retain the same ID or change it. If you wish to change, select the respective option to reset your User ID

Now, once you have your net banking User ID, you have to generate a password to login to your account. Follow the instructions given below to generate the password.

  • Visit ICICI bank’s internet banking page
  • On the right, you will find ‘May I help you’ section, click on ‘Get Password’
  • Click on Click here to proceed on the ‘Generate Password Online’ page
  • Enter your User ID and click on ‘Go’
  • Now enter your registered mobile number and click ‘Go’
  • A unique number will be sent to your mobile, enter the same in the next step
  • Once the details are validated, you will receive a new password

You can now use the obtained User ID and password to log in and access your net banking account. If you do not have internet access you can give missed call to 09223011114 for login assistance. You will receive a call back from the bank. You can also visit the branch office to request for User ID or password.

Raising requests through ICICI Credit Card Netbanking account: You can avail a host of online services once you register your credit card for ICICI internet banking. You can also raise requests and register for a few facilities. There are few requests mentioned below which can be raised using your netbanking account.

  • Statement related requests: By using your internet banking account, you can raise requests related to credit card statements including activation or deactivation of physical statement, request an email of credit card statements, request to send credit card statements through post, etc. You can find all the options under ‘My Accounts > Credit Cards > Service Request’ in your internet banking account.

  • Requests related to account details modification: You can also request a change in your personal details including change of address, generate credit card PIN, cancellation of credit card and others. You can find all the options under ‘My Accounts > Credit Cards > Alerts Subscription > Submit’ in your netbanking account.

  • Transaction dispute related requests: You can check the status of a dispute initiated on credit card through your net banking account such as incorrect billing, not receiving goods/services purchased using the card, canceled transaction not processed, unauthorized transactions etc. The corresponding status can be found under ‘My Account > Credit Cards > Service request > Transaction Dispute Related > Dispute Status’ in your internet banking account

  • To redeem reward points: ICICI bank internet banking account lets you keep a check on your reward points. By logging in to your account. You can check your rewards points balance, browse the available redemption options and finally redeem the points instantly. To redeem the points,go to ‘My Accounts > Credit Cards > Reward Points > Redeem Online'. You will be displayed a list of options available for redemptions, choose one and click on ‘Submit’.

Requests related to credit card blocking and dispatch: You can raise a request to block your credit card through your internet banking account in case of a lost or stolen card. You can find the option under ‘My Accounts > Credit Cards > Block your Credit Card - Instant Deactivation’. You need to choose your card number and submit the same to block the card.

ICICI Bank Grievance Redressal

A grievance redressal system has been adopted by ICICI Bank to resolve all the unanswered/unsatisfied complaints or queries reported by its customers.
