  • Option for an add-on credit card is available on request of existing Canara Bank Credit Card holder for immediate close relatives.
  • Other features are at par with the Canara Gold credit card.

Corporate Credit Card

The corporate credit card is designed in such a way that meets the lifestyle needs of the Non Individual corporate patron such as public sector undertakings, partnership firms, chartered accountant firms, Public or private companies etc.

  • A separate card is issued to domestic usage and global usage.
  • The card is issued primarily to corporates which is an existing customer to Canara Bank with credit limits sanctioned as S1 and S2 status.
  • For Companies which doesn’t have any relationship with Canara bank, the card is issued on the discretion of the bank and a proven track record.
  • The Board Resolution in Bank’s format is mandatory for Pvt. Ltd or Public Ltd. Companies.
  • Apart from BR, company’s formation documents such as MOA/ AOA etc are to be submitted.
  • The limit allotted on the card is a consolidated limit which can be duly shared amongst the add-on cardholders.
  • The limit per card can be in multiples of 5000, whereas the minimum limit is Rs 50,000/- and the maximum Rs 100 lakhs.

How to apply for a Canara Bank Credit Card?

An individual has to visit the nearest Canara Bank branch and meet the customer executive and express the desire to obtain the credit card of the bank. The executive will explain the various credit cards of the bank after ascertaining the annual income of the individual. The customer can choose the card of his/her choice based on the requirements/needs. Reward Programme – The bank has tie-ups with M/s Loyalty Rewards Programme. It provides rewards points for every purchase transactions of Rs 100 and above. The value of one reward point is Re 0.25. Zero Lost Card Liability – In case of loss or mutilation of a credit card, the same will be replaced at free of cost without charging anything from the cardholder, for transactions in excess of Rs 2,000 from the time they report the loss of the card to the bank at the address in writing. The cardholder will be liable for all the charges incurred on the card before they report about the loss of their respective credit card.

Accident Insurance – Canara Bank provides free accident insurance facilities to the cardholders. It provides accident insurance cover to both the cardholder and spouse against the risk of death. The cardholders are covered against the risk of death due to an accident and air crash free of cost. On accidental death, the cover will be first utilized to offset the balance outstanding on the Canara Credit Card. Any balance of the cover remaining will later be paid to the credit cardholder's nominee.

Card Protection – Canara Bank provides card protection in case of a loss of credit card, the liability is restricted to Rs 1,000 from the time of reporting the case to the bank.

Advance Cash – Canara Bank provides advance cash withdrawal limit up to 50% of your card limit (Maximum of Rs 50,000 only). The cash withdrawal charges only Rs 30 per thousand.

No Annual Fees – Canara Bank does not charge any kind of annual fee on any of its credit cards from the customers. This is a huge benefit from the customer's point of view as they need not have to pay any kind of enrollment fee for the entire lifespan of usage of credit card.

Free Credit Period – Canara Bank provides free credit period for 20-50 days for credit cardholders. No interest on cash withdrawal will be levied if the dues are paid within the due date. If the dues are not paid within the due date interest will be charged starting from the due date and not from the date of cash withdrawal. So it is better to pay off dues before the set due date.

Revolving Payment System – Canara Bank provides revolving payment systems to the credit cardholders. This facility provides an option to pay the bill as per the user's convenience. The minimum due amount is calculated as 5% of the bill amount. The cardholder can pay the minimum due amount of the bill at the time of purchase and the remaining amount can be carried forward along with the interest. Liberal Card Limit – Canara Bank provides benevolent credit limit to its customers. It will be based on the gross annual income of the cardholder. The cardholder is eligible to get up to 30% of the gross annual income as the card limit. The fixing of credit limit is at the sole discretion of Canara Bank.

  3. ATM Funds Transfer: Canara Bank credit card payments can be easily done at a Canara Bank ATM across the country by customers. This service can be availed by Canara Bank customers 24/7. The outstanding amount available on a Canara Bank credit card can be transferred from a savings account or a current account to the customer’s credit card account.

  4. Autopay: Canara Bank credit card payments can be done by Canara Bank customers by using the Autopay option to set standing instructions for auto debits on their Canara Bank accounts. The total monthly outstanding amount or the minimum amount due on the Canara Bank credit card can be repaid using the Autopay facility. The Canara Bank savings account should be held by a single customer or as a joint account, with an ‘either’ or 'any' signing mandate

Non-Canara Bank accounts:

  • Non-Canara Bank Netbanking: Canara Bank credit card bills can be paid by customers holding a savings account with other banks by using the netbanking facility. Users have to register for this service and log in to netbanking to make payments.

Procedure: When a customer initiates payment, certain details have to provided like Canara Bank credit card number, email address and the outstanding amount. After this, the customer has to select the required net banker and then choose the option “Pay”. This Non-Canara Bank NetBanking platform has been powered by BillDesk, through which the user will be directed to the payment interface of the chosen net banker.

By entering authentication details like username and password, the credit card bill payment has to be confirmed by the user. As soon as the payment confirmation has been done, the customer’s bank account will get debited with the amount.

An online transaction confirmation will be given to the customer from Canara Bank along with the Transaction reference number. Additionally, an email will also be sent to the customer’s mail ID as an acknowledgment of the payment.

  • NEFT: Canara Bank also provides the facility to its customers by allowing them to pay the credit card bill through NEFT from other bank accounts. The customer just have to enter the card number in the place of the account number

Offline mode of payment:

  • Pay by cheque: The users can also deposit a cheque payable to Canara Bankcard A/C (credit card number to be mentioned) at any of Canara Bank branch or ATM dropbox.

  • Cash payment: The customer can visit the nearest Canara Bank branch and pay the bill at the counter using cash

Currently, Canara Bank doesn’t offer online facilities to check your application status. You always have the option to just visit the nearest Canara Bank branch and ask the bank executive to check your credit card application status. Ensure that you carry the required details such as application number, application reference number etc which will be asked by the executive to provide the status of your application.

Hotlist your Canara Bank Card

Do not worry if you have lost your card. You can block the card by following the below-mentioned instructions.

In case you have Mastercard, type CAN HOTLISTCC Card Number (16 digits) Date of Birth (yyyymmdd ) and send it to 9266623333. Make sure that the SMS is sent from your registered mobile number.

For Visa credit cards, type BLOCK   CAN Card Number ( Last four digits only ) and send it to 575758 from your registered mobile number.

You can also hotlist your credit card by dialing their 24x7 toll-free number 1800-425-0018 for Mastercards and 1800-222-884 for Visa cards.

Once your card is blocked, you will get a confirmation SMS from the bank. You can request a new card by visiting the nearest Canara Bank branch.
