A total of 485 candidates who had selected the Hindi or other regional languages as their mother tongue were selected through civil service examinations. The civil services exam will be conducted every year to select officers of Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS). In the 2017 exam, 1,056 candidates were recommended for different services. Among those candidates, 633 candidates had chosen Hindi and other regional languages as their mother tongue.

In 2016, among 1,209 selected candidates in the civil services exam, 664 candidates had chosen Hindi or other regional languages. By the year 2014 and 2015, a total of 1,164 and 1,363 candidates were recommended in the civil services exam. Women candidates were also invited to apply for the UPSC civil service exam and are exempted from payment of fee. Further age relaxation of up to 35 years has given to the widows, divorced women. Similar relaxation is acceptable for Group A, and Group B expect when the recruitment is made through an open competitive exam.

But recently, UPSC has released the UPSC Civil Services Revised Mains Result 2018 on its official website upsc.gov.in. In the UPSC Civil Services Revised Mains Result 2018, additionally, 53 candidates were selected for the Department of Personnel and training. Out of these 53 candidates, 38 candidates belongs to General category, 14 candidates are OBC and 1 candidate from SC category. UPSC Civil Service IAS Prelims Result 2019 to be released next week

Union Public Service Commission expected to announce the results of UPSC Civil Service IAS Prelims 2019 next week. Candidates who appeared for the UPSC Preliminary examination can check their results at the official website -- upsc.gov.in. The results will be released through a PDF file format on UPSC official website. The IAS Exam happened on June 2, 2019. Candidates attended two necessary tests, namely the General Ability Test and the Civil Service Aptitude Test. Candidates who have applied through the exams selected for the 896 vacancies and the selection process, which includes the Preliminary Result, Main Result, and Interview through it. The exam conducted for 200 marks. There will be 1/ 3 of negative marking for the examination. The expected cut off will be around 95 - 105. For OBC, it is about 90 - 100, 85 - 95 for SC category, and 80 - 90 for SC category.

UPSC CDS I Written Result 2019 Declared:

On April 9, 2019, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the written exam result of Combined Defence Services (CDS) I 2019 recruitment at its official website, upsc.gov.in. The UPSC CDS written exam 2019 held on February 3. A total of 7,953 candidates have qualified for the UPSC CDS I 2019 interview (SSB) round. UPSC Civil Services Final Result 2018 Released:

On April 5, 2019, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the Final Result of the Civil Services IAS, IFS, IRS Examination 2018, at its official portal upsc.gov.in. A total of 759 candidates recommended for appointment in the Indian Civil Services department. These include 361 of General category, 209 of OBC, 128 of SC, and 61 ST, candidates. UPSC Civil Services Final Result 2018 prepared based on marks obtained in the mains exam and personality test. UPSC IFS Result 2019 declared:

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the final result for the Indian Forest Service (IFS) Main exam 2018 on its official website, upsc.gov.in. A total of 89 candidates selected for the job out of 36 belonged to unreserved, 33 from OBC, 13 from SC, and 7 from ST category. On 2nd January 2019, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the written exam result of Combined Defence Services Examination (CDS) II on its official website upsc.gov.in. A total of 7,650 candidates have qualified the UPSC CDS II 2018 written exam and shortlisted for interview round. UPSC CDS II examination conducted on November 18, 2018, across the country. UPSC IES, ISS Final Results 2018 declared:

UPSC has released the final results of the Indian Economic Service (IES) /Indian Statistical Service (ISS) examination 2018 at upsc.gov.in. Totally 46 candidates got successful in the UPSC IES, ISS 2018 recruitment examination, the marks of which will be released within 15 days. The UPSC IES, ISS 2018 examination was conducted in June and July 2018, and the interviews for personality test conducted in November 2018. Around 14 candidates recommended for Indian Economic Service (IES) and 32 candidates for Indian Statistical Service (ISS). The provisionality of these candidates will remain valid only for three months from the date of declaration of UPSC IES, ISS Final Results 2018, i.e., February 28, 2019.

UPSC Engineering Services 2018 Exam Final Results Announced:

On 9th November 2018, the exam conducting authority - Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the final result of Engineering Services Examination, 2018 on the official website, @upsc.gov.in. UPSC provisionally selected 50 candidates for the post of Civil Engineering (11nos.), Mechanical Engineering (21 Nos.), Electrical Engineering (09 Nos.), And Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering (09 Nos.). A total of 511 candidates have been selected for the UPSC Engineering Services (IES) recruitment. Out of the total 511 candidates, 161 candidates have been selected for Civil Engineering while 136 have been chosen in Mechanical Engineering trade. In Electrical Engineering trade, the commission has selected 108 and in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, 106. The provisionality of these candidates will remain valid only for three months [i.e., up to 11/02/2019] from the date of declaration of UPSC Engineering Services 2018 final result. Such provisional candidates will have to submit their original documents to the Commission only.

UPSC IES & ISS Written Exam Result 2018:

On September 11, 2018, UPSC announced the result of the written part of the Indian Economic Service (IES) /Indian Statistical Service (ISS) Examination 2018, held in June/July 2018.  UPSC Civil Services Main Examination 2017 Waiting List Results Declared:

On August 30, 2018, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) had declared results from the waiting list of the UPSC Civil Services Main Examination 2017. Totally 66 candidates from the Consolidated Reserve List, have been selected to fill posts that remained vacant after all final results were out. The final results of the UPSC Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2017 were declared in April this year in which 990 candidates qualified in order of merit for appointment to IAS, IFS, IPS and Central Services Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’ against 1058 vacancies. The newly selected 66 candidates, who have qualified from the UPSC IAS 2017 waiting list include 48 General, 16 OBC, 01 SC, and 01 ST, persons.  On July 14, 2018, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) had declared the results of the Civil Services Preliminary Examination, 2018, on its official website upsc.gov.in, upsconline.nic.in. The UPSC IAS Prelims 2018 examination was held on June 3 to fill administrative positions in different All-India Services and central civil services, including IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS, and IRTS. UPSC Civil Services Prelims Result 2018 Expected Today:

 The much awaiting UPSC Prelims Results 2018 is expected to be announced today (July 10, 2018) on the official website www.upsc.gov.in.  The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is likely to declare the UPSC Civil Services Prelims Examination 2018 results by July 15, 2018, @ upsconline.nic.in and upsc.gov.in. UPSC conducted the Civil Services Prelims 2018 Exam on June 3, 2018, for filling vast vacancies of IAS, IPS, IFS and other civil service posts. UPSC declares the result within 40 to 45 days from the date of commencement of the UPSC examination. This year, it is expected that UPSC Civil Services Prelims Results 2018 will be out by July 13th to 15th. According to the Reliable sources, UPSC Mains examination 2018 will be held on September 28,29,30, and October 6,7, 2018.  Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the UPSC Civil Services 2018 Main Exams Timetable on its official website – upsc.gov.in, as per which, the Mains 2018 Examination will commence from 28th September 2018 with Paper I – Essay. UPSC had organized the Prelims 2018 in June 2018. Candidates who will score a minimum of 66 marks in Paper-II will be shortlisted for Mains exam based on their scores in Paper-I. UPSC 2018 Civil Services Prelims Results Expected in July

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) organized the Civil Services Prelims exam in 73 centers across India, which included Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Aizawl, Port Blair, Panaji, Chandigarh and Lucknow among others. The UPSC Prelims results will be released in the month of July 2018. Based on the results of the Civil Services examination, the applicants will be employed in various services like Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, and Indian Police Service and among others.


UPSC 2018 Civil Services IAS Exam Notification Released:

On February 5, 2018, Union Public Service Commission, UPSC has released the notification for the Civil Services 2018 Preliminary Examination. A total of 782 vacancies with 32 vacancies for persons with benchmark disabilities are expected to be filled by means fo the UPSC Civil Services 2018 Examination. Candidates interested in applying for Indian Administrative Services (IAS), Indian Police Services (IPS), Indian Forest Services (IFS), and 20 other departmental posts are required to fill the Civil Services Prelims 2018 application form. Eligibility Criteria for UPSC Civil Services Exam

Nationality - For the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and the Indian Police Service (IPS), a candidate must be a citizen of India.

Age Limits: Minimum Age Limit - 21 years; Maximum Age Limit - 30 Yrs (relaxable to 5 years for SC/ ST and 3 years for OBC Candidates)

UPSC National Defence Academy (NDA) Examination & Naval Academy Examination

National Defence Academy (NDA) is the first tri-service academy in the world. NDA is a Military Academy in India which trains cadets of three Services namely the Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force (these three are combinedly called Indian Armed Forces). UPSC Civil Services IAS Exam 2017 Final result declared:

 On 27th April 2018 evening, Union Public Service Commission released the final result of the Civil Services Exam 2017 on its official website - upsc.gov.in. Hyderabad candidate Anudeep Durishetty topped the list. Based on the results of the written part of Civil Services Examination, 2017 held by the Union Public Service Commission in October-November, 2017 and the interviews for Personality Test held in February-April, 2018, a total number of 990 candidates have been recommended for appointment to:

 (i) Indian Administrative Service;

 On February 20, 2018, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) declared the Indian Forest Service (IFS) Examination 2017 final results, on the website of the UPSC i.e., upsc.gov.in. UPSC declared a total of 110 candidates selected for this recruitment. UPSC has a "Facilitation Counter" near Examination Hall Building in its campus. UPSC Engineering Services Prelims Exam Result - Declared:

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the preliminary exam result for Engineering Services Exam, i.e., ESE or IES 2018. The UPSC result 2017 declared discipline-wise is available on the official website upsc.gov.in. Qualified candidates are now eligible for the UPSC ESE Main exam.

UPSC 2018 Civil Services Mains result declared:

 On January 10, 2018, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced the UPSC results 2017 on its website upsc.gov.in. The UPSC Main 2017 examination was conducted between October 28 and November 3 last year. The roll numbers of the candidates who cleared the mains examination were made available on the commission's website-- www.upsc.gov.in. Personality test or interview of the selected candidates is likely to commence from February 19, 2018.

UPSC 2017 IFS Main Exam Result - Declared:

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) declared the IFS Main Examination 2017 Result on its official website – upsc.gov.in. The IFS Main 2017 Exam was held between 03-12- 2017 to 13-12- 2017. Candidates can check their UPSC IFS Main Exam 2017 Result from the below provided official link. Candidates who have qualified the Main exam will now be eligible to appear in the Interview or Personality Test round. UPSC will release the mark sheets of the candidates within 15 days of Final Result, which will be declared after the Interviews/Personality Test.

UPSC 2016 Result - 109 candidates to fill the remaining posts:

After declaring the UPSC results 2016 of the Civil Services (Main) examination on May 31, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) now recommended 109 candidates for recruitment to remaining posts. The list includes 87 general categories, 19 OBC, 1 SC, and 2 ST candidates to fill up the remaining posts based on the Civil Services Examination, 2016.

Earlier UPSC had recommended 1099 candidates for appointment, among whom are 500 candidates from the general category and 347, 163 and 89 candidates from the OBC, SC and ST categories respectively.

UPSC Result of Prelims Exam Announced:

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on July 27, 2017, declared the IAS Prelims exam result. The examination was held on June 18, 2017.

UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination is the first step of the UPSC IAS Selection process. UPSC IAS prelims exam consists of two compulsory papers (Paper I - General Studies, Paper-II - Aptitude) with 200 marks each. The marks obtained in General Studies Paper I of the UPSC CSE Prelims Exam are considered for shortlisting to Mains Exam. In General Studies paper II, candidates compulsorily score minimum qualifying marks i.e., 66 marks, which are 33% of 200 marks.

The number of candidates shortlisted for UPSC Civil Services Mains Examination is around 12 to 13 times the total number of Vacancies to be filled through this year’s UPSC Civil Services Exam.

How to appear for UPSC CS Main Examination?

 The UPSC Civil services (CS) Main Examination is scheduled to be held on October 28, 2017. To participate in the Civil Services (Main) Examination, all candidates who have qualified Prelims exam have to fill up the DAF (Detailed Application Form) for Civil Services Main (CSM) Examination and submit it online. UPSC Result of Main Examination

 The UPSC Civil Services Main Examination consists of a written examination and an interview test. UPSC releases the Result of these two stages separately. Marks obtained in Written Exam (Paper - I to Paper ‐ VII) and Marks obtained in Interview for Personality Test will be counted for final ranking.



UPSC Result of Mains Written Exam:

UPSC Mains written Examination is the second step of the UPSC Civil Services Selection process. UPSC Mains Examination consists of nine papers of conventional essay type, out of which two are qualifying papers (Paper A - Indian Language, Paper B - English) each of 300 marks and seven other papers (paper I to Paper VII) are compulsory with each of 250 marks and are to be counted for merit. Obtain the detailed UPSC Syllabus for all papers now.

Candidates need to obtain at least 25% marks in qualifying papers (Paper A and Paper B) to appear next 7 papers of UPSC Civil Services Mains examination.

So total marks of UPSC Mains Written Exam considered for Final Ranking = 7 compulsory papers (Paper I to Paper VII) x 250 marks = 1,750 marks.

UPSC Result of Interview:

The number of candidates shortlisted for the UPSC Civil Services Interview is around twice the total number of Vacancies to be filled through this year’s UPSC Civil Services Exam. UPSC is tentatively scheduled to conduct an interview for UPSC Civil Services in February or March 2018. The Interview or personality tests for UPSC Civil Services are conducted for a total of 275 marks, with no minimum qualifying marks.


UPSC Result Final Ranking:

Final Ranking for various services under UPSC Civil Services Examination prepared based on UPSC CSE Mains - Written Exam (7 Compulsory Papers) marks and Interview marks. UPSC releases All India Rank (AIR) of candidates, which aggregates the marks obtained in all 7 Compulsory Papers of Mains written exam and Interview. 

Candidates qualified for the Final Merit List will be allotted to the various civil services like IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS, etc. keeping in view their All India Rank in the UPSC exam and preferences expressed by them for the various services and posts.

How to calculate the Final Score?

Final Score for UPSC Civil Services Allotment calculated as

Total Score calculation for All India Ranking = Obtained marks in Mains Written Exam (7 Compulsory Papers) out of 1,750 + Obtained marks in Interview out of 275.

UPSC Civil Services Prelims exam mark is not considered for the Final Ranking of UPSC Civil Services.


UPSC Cut off Score:

Candidates need to secure the cutoff marks decided by UPSC for each stage of UPSC Civil Services Exam viz, Prelims, Mains, and Final Ranking. Candidates need to score 10 % marks in each of the seven papers in Main - written Exam i.e., Essay, GS-I, GS-II, GS-III, GS-IV, Optional-I, and Optional-II.

 The UPSC Cut off mark is different for various stages viz, Prelims, Main - Written Exam, Final Ranking, and also different for various categories like General, OBC, SC, ST, PWD.
