UPSC CDS I 2018 Final Result declared:
On November 9, 2018, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the final result of Combined Defence Service (CDS) Exam (I) 2018 on the official website, @upsc.gov.in. UPSC CDS I 2018 preliminary exam was conducted in February 2018 and it was followed by SSB interviews. Candidates who had qualified the UPSC CDS I 2018 exam are requested to forward their certificates, in original, in support of date of birth/educational qualification etc. claimed by them, along with photostat attested copies thereof to army headquarters /naval headquarters /air headquarters, as per their first choice. The UPSC Commission had recommended 2778, 1720 and 623 as qualified in the UPSC CDS I 2018 written test for admission to the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy respectively. The number of candidates finally qualified are those after SSB test conducted by Army Head Quarters.

UPSC Combined Defence Services Examination (II) Admit card Released and Exam Date on Nov 18, 2018
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released Admit card for the post of CDS released and the candidates can log in to the official website to download the e-ADMIT CARD. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Combined Defence Services (CDS) II exam for various posts will be conducted on November 18, 2018.

UPSC CDS (II) Examination 2018 Application Begins:
On August 8, 2018, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the recruitment notification for Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination (II) 2018, on its official website upsconline.nic.in. Candidates should submit their application form in online mode only. The direct official link for filling UPSC CDS (II) Examination 2018 Online Application Form is granted below. The last date to submit UPSC CDS (II) 2018 applications is September 3, 2018 till 6:00 pm. The exam will be conducted on November 18, 2018. This year, a total of 414 vacancies will be filled though UPSC Combined Defence Services Examination. Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking. The last date for offline fee payment is September 2, 2018 (at 11:59 PM) and for online fee payment is September 3, 2018 (till 6:00 PM).

NOTE:- Male divorcee/ widower candidates cannot be treated as unmarried male for admission in IMA/ INA/ AFA courses and accordingly they are not eligible for these courses.
Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to Combined Defence Services Examination as per guidelines.

UPSC CDS Application Form 2018 Overview:UPSC CDS (Combined Defence Service) Exam is conducted in national level, twice a year in the month of February and October/ November for which the application form is released three months prior. The Application form is released in Online mode only. Candidates applying for the Exam are expected to fill the Application form to be called for attending the Written Examination and further selection process. Ensure to furnish exact details regarding age, address, e-mail ID and other necessary details, as no further changes can be made on submission.
How to fill UPSC CDS Application Form?The registration for UPSC CDS Exam is done in Two stages namely PART I and Part II Registration using the CDS Application Form released by UPSC.

UPSC CDS Application Form PART II Registration:To fill the Part II Registration, candidate have to login with their Registration-Id and Date of Birth. Part II Registration has Four Stages:
(i) Application Fee Payment,
(ii) Selection of Examination Centre,
(iii) Uploading of Photograph and Signature, and
(iv) Agreeing to Declaration.

Selection of Examination Centre:Applicants can make the Centre of choice for taking up the Examination. Allotment of Centres will be based on first-cum first-allot basis, the allotment is seized once the capacity of the Centre is attained. Commission reserves the right to change the Centres at their discretion if the situation demands.
Uploading of Photograph and Signature:After paying UPSC CDS Application Fee, Candidates can able to upload scanned copy of their photograph and signature as per below guidelines:
Photograph:- The photograph should be uploaded in JPG format and the digital size of the file of the photographs must be more than 3 KB and less than 40KB.
Signature:- The signature must be uploaded in JPG format. The digital size of the signature file must be between 1 KB and less than 40 KB.
UPSC CDS 2018 Selection Process:Candidates are selected for various Combined Defence Services courses through two stage selection process as:

UPSC CDS Written examination:UPSC CDS Written examination is conducted in offline mode (i.e., pen and paper mode). UPSC CDS Written examination of Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy varies with that of Officers’ Training Academy as follows.
For Admission to Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy:-

Each question in all subjects carries 1 mark. All questions in all subjects are of objective type only. The question papers (Test Booklets) of General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics will be set bilingually in Hindi as well as English.
Negative Marking:- For each wrong answer marked by candidate, One third of the marks assigned to that question (ie., 0.33 marks) will be deducted.
UPSC CDS Interview for intelligence and personality test:Services Selection Board (SSB) is the selection board which conducts Personality and Intelligence Interview for candidates those who passed in UPSC CDS written Examination. The SSB procedure consists of two stage Selection process - stage I and stage II. Only those candidates who clear the stage I are permitted to appear for stage II.
Stage I comprises of Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests and Picture Perception Description Test (PP&DT). The candidates will be shortlisted based on combination of performance in OIR Test and PP&DT.
Stage II Comprises of Interview, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests and the Conference. These tests are conducted over 4 days. There are no separate weightage for each test. All
these have equal weightage.
UPSC CDS Exam Syllabus:
The standard of the papers in Elementary Mathematics will be of Matriculation (10th) level. The standard of papers in other subjects will be of a graduate level of an Indian University.
