UPSC Civil Services 2018 Main Exams Timetable Released:

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the UPSC Civil Services 2018 Main Exams Timetable on its official website – upsc.gov.in, as per which, the Mains 2018 Examination will commence from 28th September 2018 with Paper I – Essay. UPSC had organized the Prelims 2018 in June 2018. Candidates who will score minimum 66 marks in Paper-II, will be shortlisted for Mains exam based on their scores in Paper-I. UPSC Civil Services 2018 Mains examination will be organized as per the time table mentioned below:

UPSC 2018 Civil Services Prelims Results Expected in July

Union Public Service Commission,(UPSC) organized the Civil Services Prelims exam in 73 centers across India which included Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Aizawl, Port Blair, Panaji, Chandigarh and Lucknow among others. The UPSC Prelims results will be released in the month of July 2018. Based on the results of Civil Services examination, the applicants will be employed in various services like Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, and Indian Police Service and among others.

UPSC 2018 Civil Services IAS Exam Notification Released - Apply Now:

On  February 5, 2018, Union Public Service Commission, UPSC has released the notification for the Civil Services 2018 Preliminary Examination. A total of 782 vacancies with 32 vacancies for persons with benchmark disabilities are expected to be filled by means fo the UPSC Civil Services 2018 Examination. Candidates interested in applying for Indian Administrative Services (IAS), Indian Police Services (IPS), Indian Forest Services (IFS) and 20 other departmental posts are required to fill the Civil Services Prelims 2018 application form. Eligibility Criteria for UPSC Civil Services Exam

Nationality - For the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and the Indian Police Service (IPS), a candidate must be a citizen of India.
Age Limits: Minimum Age Limit - 21 years; Maximum Age Limit - 30 Yrs (relaxable to 5 years for SC/ ST and 3 years for OBC Candidates)
Minimum Educational Qualifications -Graduation or Degree in any discipline from any recognized university in India. Candidates of Final Year can also apply for UPSC Civil Services Exam.

Number of attempts permitted for UPSC Civil Services Exam

  • For General category candidates - 6 Attempts
  • For OBC category candidates - 9 Attempts

UPSC Engineering Services Examination (ESE) is conducted for engineering positions in various departments of the central government. Posts in 1) Civil Engineering, 2) Mechanical Engineering, 3) Electrical Engineering, 4) Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering categories would be filled through this UPSC ESE examination.

Nationality - A candidate must be a citizen of India / Nepal/ Bhutan or Tibetan refugee or a person of Indian origin.
Age Limits: Minimum Age Limit - 19 years; Maximum Age Limit - 24 Yrs (25 Years for Officers’ Training Academy). For Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy - only Unmarried male candidates are eligible.
Minimum Educational Qualifications - (i) For Indian Military Academy and Officers' Training Academy - Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.
(ii) For Indian Naval Academy - Degree in Engineering from a recognised University/ Institution.

The papers in all the subjects will consist of objective type questions only. The question papers (Test Booklets) of General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics will be set bilingually in Hindi as well as English. UPSC National Defence Academy (NDA) Examination & Naval Academy Examination

National Defence Academy (NDA) is the first tri-service academy in the world. NDA is a Military Academy in India which trains cadets of three Services namely Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force (these three are combinedly called Indian Armed Forces). UPSC Conducts "National Defence Academy" (NDA) Examination & Naval Academy Examination twice a year for recruiting only Unmarried Male candidates those who wish to join Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA and for Indian Naval Academy Course.

Eligibility Criteria for NDA & Naval Academy Examination

Nationality - A candidate must be a citizen of India / Nepal/ Bhutan or Tibetan refugee or a person of Indian origin.
Age Limits: Minimum Age Limit - 16 years; Maximum Age Limit - 19 Yrs (No Age Relaxation)
Marital Status - Unmarried; Only Male candidates are eligible to take this exam.
Minimum Educational Qualifications - (i) For Army Wing of National Defence Academy:- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University. 
(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy:- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

(ii) For Indian Naval Academy - Degree in Engineering from a recognised University/ Institution.

UPSC National Defence Academy (NDA) Examination & Naval Academy Examination

National Defence Academy (NDA) is the first tri-service academy in the world. NDA is a Military Academy in India which trains cadets of three Services namely Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force (these three are combinedly called Indian Armed Forces). UPSC Conducts "National Defence Academy" (NDA) Examination & Naval Academy Examination twice a year for recruiting only Unmarried Male candidates those who wish to join Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA and for Indian Naval Academy Course.

Eligibility Criteria for NDA & Naval Academy Examination

Nationality - A candidate must be a citizen of India / Nepal/ Bhutan or Tibetan refugee or a person of Indian origin.
Age Limits: Minimum Age Limit - 16 years; Maximum Age Limit - 19 Yrs (No Age Relaxation)
Marital Status - Unmarried; Only Male candidates are eligible to take this exam.
Minimum Educational Qualifications - (i) For Army Wing of National Defence Academy:- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University. 
(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy:- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
