UPSC Civil Services IFS Main Exam Time Table, Application Form 2018 released:

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the complete schedule as well as the DAF or Detailed Application Form for the Indian Forest Service (IFS) 2018 Main examination, on the official website upsconline.nic.in. The candidates who have cleared the IFS Preliminary examination are eligible to appear for UPSC IFS Main Exam, for that they have to fill the DAF or Detailed Application Form for UPSC IFS Main 2018 examination, which is is scheduled from December 2nd to 10th, 2018. The UPSC Civil Services IFS Main Exam 2018 will be held in two different sessions every day.  General English and General Knowledge are the compulsory subjects for the IFS Main Examination. Eligible candidates have to choose between two optional subjects and appear for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 of the respective subject. General English Exam and General Knowledge Exam are held for 300 marks each and of 3 hours duration. The each paper of elective subjects carries 200 marks and of 3 hours duration.

UPSC Civil Services Mains Exam 2018 DAF Submission Begins:

On July 23, 2018, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has activated the link for submission of online application for Civil Services Main Examination 2018. All candidates who are qualified in UPSC Civil Services IAS, IFS Prelims 2018 Exam should fill the DAF or Detailed Application Form on the official website www.upsc.gov.in to appear for the UPSC Civil Services Mains Exam 2018, which is scheduled to be held from September 28, 2018. Candidates can fill the UPSC Civil Services Mains 2018 Detailed Application Form (DAF) from July 23 to August 6, 2018. Candidates should upload the scanned copies of the required document within the prescribed time limit along with DAF. However, the OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates need to fill the OBC Annexure in online mode along with the Detailed Application Form. Candidates except Female, SC, ST and PwBD, should pay the application fee of Rs. 200 by cash mode or online mode. Last Date for paying application fee by cash mode (offline) is August 5, 2018 and by online mode through Debit/Credit card or internet banking is August 6, 2018.

UPSC Civil Services Prelims Result 2018 Released:

On July 14, 2018, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the results of Civil Services Preliminary Examination, 2018 on its official website upsc.gov.in, upsconline.nic.in. The UPSC IAS Prelims 2018 examination was held on June 3, to fill administrative positions in different All-India Services and central civil services including IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS, and IRTS. The UPSC Civil Services Main examination will be conducted on September 28, 2018, all the students who will clear the UPSC prelims have to appear for it. Candidates appearing in UPSC Mains Exam will have to apply online again in a new form (Detailed Application Form ) provided to them. UPSC Civil Services Prelims Results 2018 expected by July 15:

 The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is likely to declare the UPSC Civil Services Prelims Examination 2018 results by July 15, 2018 @ upsconline.nic.in and upsc.gov.in. UPSC conducted the Civil Services Prelims 2018 Exam on June 3, 2018 for filling huge vacancies of IAS, IPS, IFS and other civil service posts. UPSC declares the result within 40 to 45 days from the date of commencement of UPSC examination. This year, it is expected that UPSC Civil Services Prelims Results 2018 will be out by July 13th to 15th. According to the Reliable sources, UPSC Mains examination 2018 will be held on September 28,29,30 and October 6,7, 2018. Candidates who qualify in this Prelims Exam can appear for Mains 2018 Exam, for which the Exam dates will be officially released soon after the announcement of Prelims 2018 Result.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the UPSC Civil Services 2018 Main Exams Timetable on its official website – upsc.gov.in, as per which, the Mains 2018 Examination will commence from 28th September 2018 with Paper I – Essay. UPSC 2018 Civil Services Prelims Results Expected in July

Union Public Service Commission,(UPSC) organized the Civil Services Prelims exam in 73 centers across India which included Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Aizawl, Port Blair, Panaji, Chandigarh and Lucknow among others. The UPSC Prelims results will be released in the month of July 2018. Based on the results of Civil Services examination, the applicants will be employed in various services like Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, and Indian Police Service and among others.

Eligibility Criteria for UPSC Civil Services Exam

Nationality - For the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and the Indian Police Service (IPS), a candidate must be a citizen of India.
Age Limits: Minimum Age Limit - 21 years; Maximum Age Limit - 30 Yrs (relaxable to 5 years for SC/ ST and 3 years for OBC Candidates)

Nationality - A candidate must be a citizen of India / Nepal/ Bhutan or Tibetan refugee or a person of Indian origin.
Age Limits: Minimum Age Limit - 19 years; Maximum Age Limit - 24 Yrs (25 Years for Officers’ Training Academy). For Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy - only Unmarried male candidates are eligible.
Minimum Educational Qualifications - (i) For Indian Military Academy and Officers' Training Academy - Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.
(ii) For Indian Naval Academy - Degree in Engineering from a recognised University/ Institution.

The papers in all the subjects will consist of objective type questions only. The question papers (Test Booklets) of General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics will be set bilingually in Hindi as well as English. Candidates successful in the written exam are then called for an interview by a Services Selection Board which evaluates a candidate's suitability for a career in the Indian Armed Forces.

UPSC National Defence Academy (NDA) Examination & Naval Academy Examination

National Defence Academy (NDA) is the first tri-service academy in the world. NDA is a Military Academy in India which trains cadets of three Services namely Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force (these three are combinedly called Indian Armed Forces). UPSC Conducts "National Defence Academy" (NDA) Examination & Naval Academy Examination twice a year for recruiting only Unmarried Male candidates those who wish to join Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA and for Indian Naval Academy Course.

Eligibility Criteria for NDA & Naval Academy Examination

Nationality - A candidate must be a citizen of India / Nepal/ Bhutan or Tibetan refugee or a person of Indian origin.
Age Limits: Minimum Age Limit - 16 years; Maximum Age Limit - 19 Yrs (No Age Relaxation)
Marital Status - Unmarried; Only Male candidates are eligible to take this exam.
Minimum Educational Qualifications - (i) For Army Wing of National Defence Academy:- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University. 
(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy:- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Candidates can apply for UPSC NDA & Naval Academy Exam through online mode only, using the below-granted link. Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 100/- (except SC/ ST candidates/ Sons of JCOs/NCOs/ORs) through net banking or by remitting the money in any Branch of SBI by Cash.

Written Examination is conducted in Offline (pen and paper) mode.

General Ability Test 02 600 2 hours 30 minutes

General Ability Test Consists of two Parts - Part A - English (for 200 marks) and Part B - General Knowledge (for 400 marks containing questions from Physics, Chemistry, General Science, Social Studies, Geography and Current Events). The papers in all the subjects will consist of objective type questions only. The question papers (Test Booklets) of Mathematics and Part B of General Ability Test will be set bilingually in Hindi as well as English. Candidates successful in the written exam are then called for an interview by a Services Selection Board.
