What is the selection process for TNFUSRC Forest Watcher 2019?

Stage I- Written Test

Written test will be conducted by the TNFUSRC board on 5th & 6th October 2019. The result will be declared within 2 to 3 weeks from the date of commencement of the examination. Minimum Qualifying Marks for BC, BCM, MBC/ DC, SC, SC(A)and ST Candidates is 30% whereas for Other Categories is 40%

Stage II - Viva voice

Once the result for written exam is released, candidates who all passed in written test will be called for Viva voice. Result can be expected within 2 to 3 weeks from the date of commencement of the examination.

Step III - Physical Standards

For the candidate belonging to Scheduled Tribes and Jungle Tribes, the following shall be the minimum height standards. So, only Candidate possessing the below said minimum Physical Standards are eligible to apply for the post.

TNFUSRC Forest Watcher Physical Standards

  • Male Candidate – 152 cm

  • Female and Third gender Candidate – 145 cm

Step IV - Endurance Test Pattern

An applicant will be required to undergo a physical test consisting of a walkover 25 km and 16 km to be completed in four hours by male and female / third gender candidates respectively which will be conducted by the TNFUSRC. Candidate must satisfy a Medical Board in Chennai regarding his/ her physical fitness and prove his/her capacity for rough outdoor work in the Tamil Nadu Forest Department.
