What is the Selection Process followed for TNEA Counselling 2018?
The opening and closing ranks are generally decided by Anna University. The rank list will be displayed on the official website of Anna University. The rank list mainly depends on the overall marks obtained by the candidates, overall cut off and the rank list. The selection process will be prepared by TNEA based on the following parameters.

Steps to apply for TNEA Counselling 2018
Candidates who are applied for TNEA counselling will be grouped according to the merit list and it will be published on the official website. SMS and Email notifications will be sent to the candidates before the counselling process. TNEA counselling is carried out in the following steps.

Payment of Initial admission fee
Candidates who got shortlisted have to pay the initial amount of fees to their allotted colleges. Candidates are advised to cross-check their names and other details before they pay the initial amount to the college. Candidates can use their debit or credit card to pay their initial amount of Rs. 5000. Additionally, applicants are allowed to pay the amount to the selected college through Net banking. Their selected college will be confirmed once they pay the initial payment to the college.
Final Allotment of Seats
Candidates have to select their desired college and download their allotment order. After verifying the allotted colleges and course as printed on the letter, candidates have to confirm the seat. In case of any withdraw, the candidates have to report to the college and further, they have to enroll for admission before the given last date. Candidates who are applying for special categories are also eligible for a general counselling session. Candidates applying for differently abled persons have to submit a certificate from Medical Board of the District. Special category counselling will be carried out in Chennai.
